ナイトメア (NIGHTMARE)

Are they going to play the 7th of June in Brazil and then play 9th of June in Tokyo for Ruka’s birthday?

That’s a crazy schedule, brazil is 12 hours behind japan + it’s 40 hours of traveling from what i can see (correct me if im wrong)

Yesterday someone was asking Ni~ya if Nightmare is going to South America this year, and Ni~ya replied “Let see about that…”, then we get this announcement today!!!
I’m so happy for Brazilian fans :sob:

I’m so happy for Brazil. Like I’ve said before, the Brazilians and other LATAM people have been the most consistent fans even during hiatus and afterwards. I’m glad they’re finally getting this although their schedule is already heavy enough as is

Nightmare has done 10/50 shows in this tour, so I think I may give some short updates about the boys

Out of 10, 5 were sold out. I was checking tickets to add some to my schedule, but many of the upcoming shows are also sold out

Setlists during this tour have included A LOT of Nightmare’s old songs. After each show, they replace some of the older songs with newer songs. For Kanagawa and Tohoku region, they were playing indie/Libido songs, some rare songs like Kadan, Travel, Sekishoku, Backstreet Children were played. Currently they are moving to Libido/Anima with songs like Neoteny, Message.

The boys have been messing around a lot, literally
(Most of these stories are what I have read on Japanese fans’ twitter or from watching livestream, also my memory is messed up so the timeline can be wrong…)

The tour started during the pollen season in Japan, all of them, especially Ruka, Sakito, Ni~ya were all wrecked. Ni~ya did a member-limited live stream during the tour, “I feel so sorry to tell my fans this, but if you can dust off your hair and clothes a little before coming into live house, uncle would be very happy” (yes Ni~ya stated himself as uncle). Also during the live stream, he went to bathroom and didn’t care to mute at all??? We were all able to hear him flushing…

Hitsu asked the manager to order a red tight tank top to make him look more like 90s yankee. In the end he received a tanktop with extremely big sleeve cut that potential exposes his titties :skull:

(Hitsu wanted the one on the left, and he got the one on the right).
He tried the tank top in front of the members and staff and everyone was making “wtf are you wearing” face. He searched for the site selling the tank top, and the top buyer comment was “The sleeve cut is too big making me feel like a pervert wearing this” :skull:

The next day, Sakito also wanted a tank top. He learned from Hitsu’s experience and sent the manager the purchase link by himself. Since he is thin, he chose one from a women clothing shop.
The tank top came with supporting boob pads
Sakito DID try it on in the changing room, but he said he looked like an absolute pervert.
Also, they asked fans not to give them any weird tank tops.

Hitsu cosplayed Tatsurou (MUCC) in Irabaki show (MUCC was established in Irabaki).

The next day after Aomori show, they were rushed to travel back to Tokyo that they even had no time to eat. It was past noon, Hitsu talked to Ni~ya "We haven’t eaten anything yet…I’m so hungry…Are you? ". Ni~ya, happily holding a can of highball on one hand, “This is my breakfast!”

Yomi drew something super explicit and nasty on a live house’s wall :skull: Obviously it was so nasty that members couldn’t reveal what it was (anyone remember that video where Ruka carrying Yomi on his shoulder and Yomi was drawing an ultra big d**** on the wall?) :skull:
Livehouse staff were SO MAD that they came to Hitsu and be like “WHO DREW THIS”. Poor Hitsu was confused “No? no…no…not me…”. Meanwhile, Yomi was on shinkansen back to Tokyo.

(This post has already too long so I will continue on the next post…)

I attended the Aomori show and had a blast. The guys really know how to put on a show and really delivered. Yomi’s vocals really pleased me and there was never a moment he fell short of what he was iming to do or sounded tired.

The MC was amazing with all ne Nebuta mask that was gifyed to Hiysugi but that Yomi wore during the closing song, making everyone laugh… Sakito was literally in years.

I can’t wait to see them again and listen to more songs from more eras played live, It really is a different exoerience from livestreaminh or DVDs with them, i don’t think those tend to do them Justice. I was so Happy to finally see them and have my expectations suepassed.

Regarding the show attendance It clearly wasn’t sold out but there were about a good 180- 200 people, so really heathy. I suspect most of us were diverted from other shows that we couldn’t get tickets to (at least I was…lol)

Aomori show was on weekday and there were 200 people? I’m surprised (and also super jealous of you and people who could attend). I did expect upper Tohoku shows not to be sold out especially these days the transportation and hotel costs are crazy. I have a table to calculate the money I need for this tour and I have a heart attack every time I open it :skull: People would prefer spending their money on live tickets rather than on transportation and hotel.

About the performance quality, YESSSS I can’t describe enough how good a Nightmare show is. We all know live music is better than DVD, but the experience I had in Nightmare shows were all much much much better than DVD, so incredible that I can’t put into words. Yomi’s voice before and after recovery is so impressive…I realised that there are some parts even the past Yomi struggled with, the current Yomi can nail them very well. Also I feel like DVD and livestream can’t deliver the power in Ruka’s drums.

Anw are you going to other shows too? If you have time can you pleaseeee give us some reports?
I’m attending a few too and may drop some stories if I can…

Live report, part 2
(Source: member’s livestream and Japanese fans’ tweets. I’m so grateful of them)

Saitama, day 1 (I think)
Ni~ya said in his livestream that at some point of the show, his bass broke down, he had to use a tape to keep it intact or else the sound wouldn’t come out. Fans commented “please let the kid rest…”, Ni~ya replied “no rest, he must work” (poor kid getting abused)
At the end of the show, fans were screaming for a double encore, Yomi came out and said “don’t scream, you will make Ni~ya come out” (it’s common that Ni~ya gets back to the stage and apologises if they can’t do double encore). Fans ignored Yomi and kept screaming, Yomi was “お前ら😡”. Ni~ya and Hitsu did come out from the back, coat off, highball on their hand.
Ni~ya “Sorry, we cannot…..HEY!? We are having day 2 tomorrow right?? Everyone go home, be safe, see you tomorrow”

Yamanashi show (yesterday)
Highlight: During Kyokuto, Hitsu kissed Yomi on the cheek. Yomi asked for another, Hitsu kissed Yomi again and Yomi was making  face. Then Yomi kissed Hitsu back. Yomi said that when Hitsu kissed him a fangirl was  so Yomi insisted to make her react lol
After the smol guys finished kissing each other, they waved Ni~ya to call him to join, but Ni~ya was shy and made no no signal :waving_hand: . Yomi came to Ni~ya place, fixed his tangled hair and kissed him on the cheek

Ruka’s drums pedal broke down. He whispered to Ni~ya to ask them prolong the MC and adjust their instrument, Ni~ya whispered to Sakito, Sakito whispered to Hitsugi, but no one said anything to Yomi lol.
Yomi: Why are you leaving me out
Hitsu: Ruka’s pedal is broken. What can you do if we tell you?
Yomi: Nothing….
It seems that the other pedal also broke right after this :skull:
Yomi said that he wants all members to go camping together, Hitsu will do the shopping, Ni~ya cooking, Sakito making fire, Ruka and Yomi putting up the tent. Yomi has said this many time during the tour, I hope they will make a plan or have a fanclub trip next year

Sadly it was the only show I could get tickets to, I’m back in my country now. But was glad I was able to see some bands while I was on Japan. Even though Nightmare was my favorite by far!

Twitter isn’t embedding correctly, but @mmm has translated some details here: https://x.com/mi18_n/status/1904550438063710489

If you wish to purchase the bluray with your name signed, you should ideally do it by toda (Apr. 16. Stream starts 19:30 JST) and you might get a chance for your message/question to be read on air.

You were traveling in Japan and you went up to Aomori??? I’m super impressed…and jealous…
The farthest I have gone is Iwate, I was blown away by how beautiful it is. Always want to go to Aomori since my last Tohoku trip…

It doesn’t take that much time in shinkansen and its anlovely town to spend a day in. Too bad the train back took 10 fucking hours to get back to Tokyo due to wind alert… Thank god we had nothing lined up for that day…
