Thank you for your continued support of Hitchcock.
Today, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to those who follow and are involved with the band.
After getting in touch with Yatagarasu and confirming the situation, we learned that he attempted suicide while on his way to a release event and was hospitalized. Fortunately, a passerby intervened, preventing the situation from becoming more serious.
After discussions between the agency and the band members, it has been decided that Yatagarasu will resume performing from the upcoming shows. This decision was also made in accordance with his own wishes, so please rest assured.
Once again, we apologize for any concern this may have caused our supporters. We appreciate your continued support from tomorrow onward.
Geez, I’m wondering if all the stuff with Tsuki has affected him more than he initially let on. I know that self harm themes pop up with Hitchcock from time to time, so that could also be a reflection of what he’s been going through. Either way, I’d hope that they’re keeping ample tabs on this and getting him the help he needs.
Some say that this might be marketing by the record label. I saw it on Twitter
(Take it with caution.)
Some points to take into consideration:
This is AvelCain’s record label, a band that went viral with the vocalist posting photos of himself cutting and using this “suicidal” aesthetic. Hitchcock, so far, is an attempt to replicate AvelCain—the performances are identical, the vocalist’s appearance and singing style as well, plus they share the same composer.
Shimizuya is known as one of the most “demanding” labels to work with in VK, with excessive workload, numerous shows and scheduled events, a lot of fan interaction, etc. The members of Lycaon had to end the band and start a new one just to get out of that mess.
Recently, the label’s owner had a SUPER GREAT idea of locking this guy in the office until he finished signing all the missing chekis—he wasn’t allowed to go home until he was done. It was over 24 hours of work. They treated it as something “funny” and even did several livestreams during it.
Seems very in poor taste for them to record and upload this to twitter after dropping a announcement like that. Then again it’s visual kei and they’re basically avelcain 2.0. Their first live was named AVELCAIN-PSYCHO and they just covered avelcain stuff. If he really is going through it i hope he gets through it and not do stuff like this. If not, this is just kinda goofy and makes me wonder if tsuki is still in Hitchcock, i mean he’s still in the most recent mv.
after they posted that video all it looks like a bad marketing move. If he’s not well i wish him all the best and he deserves to rest for a while instead of going to work the next day. But sorry… As ex. AvelCain fan… It’s hard to trust them and the agency…
How staff can be ok with filming him cut at this timing? " yaah he’s not gonna do it anyways lol let’s film and post it online "
