As you probably already know, we have announced this in our latest update, but Onmyo-za will be performing the opening and ending themes for the Nintendo DS game “The Inugami Family,” due to be released by FromSoftware in January 2009.
Most of the members were fans of the original work, and were familiar with the story and worldview, and because of my own explosive love for the original work, we have created a one-of-a-kind song for “The Inugami Family.”
While it is a theme song that is entirely for “The Inugami Family,” the worldview and style are entirely Onmyo-za, so I am confident that this tie-up is unique to Onmyo-za.
Not only fans of the original “The Inugami Family,” but also those who are coming into contact with Yokomizo Seishi’s work through this game, I think everyone will be impressed with how good the theme song is, so please look forward to the game’s release date!
And of course, look forward to the game itself! It is a culmination of love and respect for the original work,
and the tireless effort and ideas required to elevate it into the medium of gaming.
I can guarantee that it will be a fantastic game.
The music is already perfect,
and I’d love to talk about the details,
but that’s a story for a little while longer.
After all, the tour is still going on.
For now, we hope you’re enjoying the tour, Mekanuma Shizuma!

Details of the theme song for the Nintendo DS game “The Inugami Family” have been released.
The titles “Soukoku” and “Doukoku” rhyme, of course, but I secretly feel that they are titles that express the “opening” and “ending” of the story in one word, respectively.
As for the song itself, as a self-proclaimed gamer who has been devouring every game since the days of the MSX, I have thoroughly focused on the content from the perspective of “What kind of music would be cool as game music?”, and yet it also meets the absolute requirement of being a song that sounds completely Onmyo-za-like no matter how you listen to it.
Naturally, the lyrics also fully express the worldview of Onmyo-za, and I believe that they have been completed to an exquisite level of perfection that could only have been lyrics for “The Inugami Family.” I believe that all of this is the result of the explosive love that Onmyo-za members and I have for the original work, “The Inugami Family.”
All of us at Onmyo-za are so honored that we are able to be involved in the musical aspect of a game adaptation of a work by Yokomizo Seishi, which we have loved for a long time. Furthermore, when you consider that the staff producing the game also have an equally deep love for the original work, there is no way that this project will not be a success. In any case, it is a song that you must listen to, and a game that you must play (?).
Please look forward to the release of the single “Soukoku/Dow” and the game software “The Inugami Family” in which it is included!
That being said, the tour “Demons and Monsters Walk Through the Night” is still on!
I can’t wait for the Nagoya performance already, and some of my excess spirit has leaked out.
It would be a shame to let it all go, so I’ll put it in my mouth once more and store it up.
Ohhhh! Thank you, mecha perpetual motion machine!

Since the beginning of the new year, I have been quietly and solemnly engrossed in what I need to do in preparation for my next move. It is a blessing to always have something in front of me that I need to do.
Meanwhile, the release of my new single, “Soukoku/Dōku”, which I completed in 2008 and I will be calling a “consingle”, is fast approaching.
I would love for all Yokomizo fans, game fans, Onmyo-za fans, and everyone else who doesn’t fit into any of the above categories to hear these new songs, which are sure to please. I already have a sample copy in my hands, and I’ve been opening and closing it for no reason and grinning from ear to ear.
Of course, I also hope you’ll try out the Nintendo DS game “The Inugami Family”, which will be released soon.
Thank you, Mecha FromSoftware!

Congratulations! The release of the Nintendo DS software “The Inugami Family”!
I don’t have it in my hands yet, but my beloved old DS has woken up and is on standby so I can play it right away.
Everyone, please give it a try!

I had to work in the studio for some personal business.
Snuggling in between, I managed to see the second and third endings of “The Inugami Family.”
I’ve almost gotten all the bad endings, and feel like I’ve played it to a certain extent.
Maneki also got through about the same extent.
No matter how many endings I played through, I enjoyed the credits and “Doukoku” - of course.
Aside from the main story, I was surprised to discover how fun the crossword puzzle mini-game was.
I wasn’t satisfied with just “The Inugami Family,” so I bought a program that lets me play crossword puzzles over and over again, and I’ve been working hard at it.
Thanks, Mecha ○○○!
