B7KLAN J-Rock Fest (Visual Kei festival) in Paris will be held (10 bands, July 11-12)

I‘m somewhat hoping not, but only because I want them to do a full europe tour and it‘s been a while since I‘ve travelled that far for a band (ironically also for them to Strasbourg in 2010 lol).

What would reasonable ticket prices even be? Also, what’s the tea with the organiser (aside from cancelling shows)?

Considering how expensive shows are in Japan and then how expensive festivals are now in Europe + depending on the size of the headliner, I am guessing it will be around 70-80 EUR for one night and around 150 EUR for two. I mean as an adult with a job it doesn’t make a difference to me but obviously for the kids this will be a tough one and vk in Europe got seriously de-aged in the last two to three years.

The tea is that previously they’ve had a handful of tours either full-on aborted or severely truncated what is presumably due to poor ticket sales which they didn’t seem to want to admit to. I think that’s the primary source of negativity in this thread because, despite the fact that this festival initiative is great, some people whether you, your circle or just someone online got burned on booking flights and lodging and that sucks obviously.

As far as getting money back for a ticket in case the event is cancelled: if you just paid with a credit card you will always get your money back for disputing the charge as merchandise/services not received. It boggles the mind that there are people online stupid enough to not know this and pester the organizer/ticket webshop for refunds. For VISA you don’t even need to contact the merchant as long as you claim to your bank that you did.

This, and they’ve never been this festival band either, preferring to work alone and do their own thing. I remember them saying in a interview that when all the other vk bands went on world tours they avoided it exactly because of that.

Thanks for explaining! That sucks. From what I’ve read in the reddit thread, it seems to be nothing new either.

Aside from the ticket prices, it was mentioned in here that Japan Expo is going to be at the same time, so if you need to travel, hotel prices etc will probably be expensive as well…

1.Azavana
2.Jiluka
3.Fukuro
4.Verde
5.DazzlingBAD
6.Industrial Apes
7.MAD night
8.Xel Terror
9.NINTH IN PLUTO

And for the grand reveal…

10.Royz

I’m not thinking these bands in particular will make It to the roster, but I do think this would be It on terms of band caliber and styles. Basically: bands that already have been around and some bottom of the barrel loud kei bands. To cap It all of: some known ikkemen band.

?? if azavana is the smallest band and JILUKA is the second smallest band why would bands like that be the other bands?? none of them except Royz is bigger than jiluka lol

I’m 99,99% sure Kaya will be there, and I wouldn’t be too surprised if An Cafe were too.

I could see RAZOR and/or XANVALA as well. Except these, I’d LOVE for Plastic Tree and MUCC in the bigger names. They worked with both bands in the past, so who knows.

THANK YOU! Seems like they want the event to suck at all cost lmao

Haven’t chimed in because my level of faith in event planning for things like this is low in recent years. My expectations were to have the first two bands announce be no one I’ve ever heard of, and it’s not like I’m a big fan of the bands announced so far (they aight tho) but it does make me think the remaining 8 will be bigger deals…

There’s plenty of bands I haven’t seen yet that honestly might make me fly to Paris. If D’EspairsRay is announced as one, I’m going. It’ll be expensive as all hell, but I’m going.

Nonono they frontload the announcement of somewhat known bands and leave the one single bigger band to the end. You’ll notice when we enter the filler dimension when we get to band 4 and its only down from there until they get to 10.

This fit well too

Except they’re updating the poster with each announcement, and both are at the bottom. Headliners are always at the top. So they’re indeed the smallest bands of the bunch.

True, didn’t look at the poster, but doesn’t mean they have to do all the bottom first.

They also seems they’ll be 2 “Big name bands” Knowing that they’re betting on bringing over people from Japan Expo they’ll have some non-vk name there, maybe none of the 2 headliners are vk.

There is only 7 “???” on the poster, for 8 remaining v-kei bands + 2 European ones, so I wouldn’t base anything off of that lol

The initial post said 10 vk bands and 2 european guest (someone like Yohio maybe).

Razor and Xanvala are fire. They are bigger than what you suggested and they are also absolut fantastic live bands. I’d go for these two alone despite having seen them this year already.

We get it that you despise modern vk bands but maybe other people like to be exited at least for the days of the annoucement. So could you be so considerate and stop ruining this little vk advant calendar?:heart:

Maybe we will be disappointed but why be it now?

This is my best guess no set order they have to have at least some big names for them to beat the cost for some profit:

Dir en grey

DazzlingBad

Jiluka

Azavana

Damned

Kizu

D’espairays

Fukuro

Mucc

Acme

Don’t worry, my opinion is not important.

They are OK bands in my book and fit the vibe I get from the while thing musically (at least what I expect).

Diru would be crazy. But I don’t see them doing that sadly. Meanies

Wasn’t mucc supposed to tour awhile back but it got cancelled because covid? MUCC is a solid choice. I remember at their last euro tour someone got engaged haha

As much as I love dir en grey they are not doing it lol

Yes, they were going to act in a convetion in Spain in 2020.

No worries I understand what you mean. Logistically tho they need a big name hitter if they are doing something this ambitious. Dir en grey is the only band that makes sense to me as a big name

Yes, I had ticket for Paris, I’m still mad about it :smiling_face_with_tear: So yeah, fingers crossed!

I could see Matenrou Opera doing it as well, but the cancellation of their tour with B7 might make them not want to work with them again… Ugh the anticipation!

Edit: Fukuro did sold out their Paris show, which was co-produced by B7, so they’re also a safe bet.
