Is it frowned upon to wear shorts to a concert? I’m thinking of going in a t-shirt and shorts because I’m worried about the heat, but a friend says it’s weird to go to the festival like that
The weather forecast now says 36-37 celsius in Paris, so you can bet my sweaty goth arse that I’m gonna be in my shorts, sandals and no make up. Be warned
I would say the most common way to pay an Uber would via the payment method added to ur account…so u dont really need to bring ur credit card, just the app. Not sure how usual would be for drivers to have cash/change.
Just go the way you feel the most comfortable, it will be 2 long and hot days and there is no dress code for a music festival…Dont overthink too much and just go there to enjoy the music.
I am vain enough to do makeup and have no intention of standing for that long in sandals but yeah fishnets begone. Short skirt and a top for me 
In ordinary taxis in most of EU, I don’t really know exceptions, you usually pay by (debit or credit) card (or your phone contactless w/ the same payment method whatever). I haven’t been to Paris for a couple of years, but in lots of places it’s becoming hard to pay by cash, so you might want a contactless payment method also for food trucks etc.
In Uber/ Bolt you pay with the app itself, you need to add a payment method (credit / debit card, probably PayPal, whatever) to it to book the trip.
Shady drivers are a valid concern, especially at night, if you’re travelling alone, young, woman, or a combination of above. Could be a good idea to find someone else going to the same direction, could split the costs etc.
I am from Serbia, and Serbia is non-European Union country in Europe.. we pay by cash in taxi. Though I don’t use taxi at all, it’s a luxury kinda here. Nor when I travelled in EU, I used mostly public transport or friends’ vehicles. I guess then Uber or Bolt is out of question for me, I don’t have a way to pay then if not by cash.
But yeah, that’s why I was asking here. I thought I will find someone going same way.. but it seems no one I could find here.. And yeah it would be easier so we could split the cost if they order that uber or bolt app.

And definitely avoid those drivers that are waiting with the door open and offering you a “closed price” for the ride.
Yes, that’s why I specified EU instead of Europe. Even in German-speaking countries which are otherwise insistent on using cash in places where you otherwise wouldn’t paying taxis by card is very common (not universal, but common)
(also like, this is not a value judgment on my part, I have been equally annoyed by the inability to pay by card in Germany as I have by the inability to pay by cash in the nordics or the Netherlands. The EU is just becoming very digital moneywise with some Germanic exceptions, and it’s a fact.)
Also public transport might not take cash. In some parts of Paris you need to use the app for trains as well. Be aware. (There used to be a card for it, but they’re phasing it out, sadly)
I think in an official taxi u probably can use cash (at least in Spain though probably most ppl use card, but the drivers have some change and accepts cash) though before getting in, u can always confirm with the driver). In Uber/other apps, it can be more difficult to find driver for cash (not sure if the apps accept it)

I’m not leaving until Friday morning, still a whole workday left but I’m not doing a great job focusing on work this week
Excited to finally do a VK event and not be clad in ostentatious garb - the Parisian heat is really forcing my hand on this one hahaha. Just one less thing to worry about.
Also excited to sit all the way back. My friends and I plan to get there later than most, like 4pm-ish. Hoping seats will still be available, I’m banking on lots of folks rushing the ground area. My last two VK shows the live mix was terrible right up on the barricade, so I’m looking forward to a festival where my ears have no choice but to experience a good mix in the back.

this was last year in 2025 in the beginning of the year! They were excellent, from what I heard :“) though it was heartbreaking the organiser cancelled 4 stops at the last minute, they would have stopped by places like Spain and Hungary otherwise :”(((
