When will people who are “famous” (on the internet, Youtubers etc) learn to never message minors… Of course this applies to all “non famous” men as well, obviously, and the few women who like small boys.
To be fair, not every person who has their age in their bio or somewhere else in their profile
If a band wants to be safe, don’t message fans at all, let everything go over staff, but that’s the ideal part,we know reality will never be the same
I never listened to any song by either Falling In Reverse nor Crossfaith, but I found that vlog entertaining. And of course that Ronnie guy is right and the japanese mf is wrong.
Leonie, if you should be a member here, sorry.
Take your stones and throw them if you want, or something like that.
Ronnie Radke is an outrageous character but a really talented guy. Coming home and his last album Popular Monster with Falling in Reverse are really excellent. Regarding Crossfaith, Ronnie made the right decision. He certainly doesn’t want to stain his reputation more than it already is. I personally love this guy, he’s like no one else in metal scene even if I don’t endorse everything he says.
The conversation should 've terminated after the “I’m 14”.
I don’t like Ronnie tbh.. but this has no excuse.
The only context where calling someone mature for their age isn’t creepy is if you’ve decided to address the cheese you just bought as a person. Some of that looks like he’s working a mark for the cash, some like he’s coaxing a meet-up. The Japanese people on IG seem to be pretty solidly leaning on the former. Well. I’m aware of some musicians who are far less famous than these guys who don’t open any fan dms or have a manager do it for them due to unsolicited nudes etc. Not a good look anyway
When the person is pure Satan but he’s right about something:/
Yeah, this is a terrible look.
Ronnie did say publicly that basically he’s sick of other people dragging him and his band threw the mud so anytime he sees bullshit and drama he will call it out and defend his rep till the day he dies. He doesnt care what others think about him when calling other bands/people out about stuff similar to this (his words)
Of course i don’t like ronnies ego better then the next guy neither do i like his beliefs but him defending himself i can understand to a degree.
He clearly doesn’t mince his words and hesitate to cut to the chase, that’s clear. Besides, he has already fired a first part of a tour for a lack of professionalism not long ago.
If you think about it, it’s kind off sad that even small unknown bands have to protect themselves like this basically.
It would be cool if adults don’t take advantage of kids and teenagers and it would be also cool if teenages understand not to DM adults, but unfortunately we live in a shitty and faulty world. The problematics in the end can go both ways, unfortunately.
For this case, I am glad we got to see more and to understand where those screenshots even came from, because like that it’s easier to understand more of the situation that happened. And now it feels more reasonable to me to judge.
Ronnies whole thing is being a dickhead and then leaning into victimhood when he’s called out on it, so the idea that he’s trying to get ahead of drama like this feels suspect to me.
Regardless, if you’re touring with him and he somehow gains the moral high ground, it’s probably time to pack the L into your suitcase & head home.
Straight to jail, Daiki. This is abundantly clear what he was trying to do.
Hmmm, I wonder if the rest of the general J-rock scene kind of works like the VK scene in that regard. I can understand the “I want to meet you, I want to see you” stuff as being host-boy gya maintenance duty but that’s only really acceptable if the guy knows he’s talking to an adult.
I don’t know whether general J-rock bands would want to be known for engaging in mitsu anyways.
oof this looks horrible. even if they kick the guy out of the band to save face, Kenta was defending him.
they will have a very hard time touring overseas for a while if ever.
im sure As I Lay Dying will need openers for their tours
A tour full of bands that are known for questionable stuff towards women.
“You got a suspected rapist in this band, a groomer in this one, this guy choked a lady. Just don’t upstage Tim, trying to hire a hit man to kill his wife is still the nuttiest story here.”
One Japanese person put it the way I feel. They said " depending on how you feel about DM 14 year olds, we should be upset that he is married with child and DM ing other girls."
The worst person you can fathom is right. As a passive (i mean, Stars Faded in Slow Motion, passive) listener, i think they were neat, i guess. This shit though? You cant excuse that.
I hate that they made me agree with ronnie fucking radke. Awful day, my friends
