D will go on hiatus + new singles and last album "血界" release

It’s been awhile since they’ve released a proper album, so a lot of those older songs like uncrowned king, revive, deadly sin, and so on, are from singles which never ended up being included on an album, because for whatever reason they didn’t do an album on the heel of that batch of singles. So, they’re including them here on this album for their 1st official album appearances. Make sense? Then they’ve got the songs from their more recent singles; revenant, and the other one dunkenschwarz or whatever the hell it was called lol, plus the two brand-new digital only release songs. When you think about it like this it makes sense that it’s a 2 CD release…one CD’s worth of material is basically the album that should have been released several years ago shortly after that old batch of singles but wasn’t, then a CD of the more recent material which is the ‘new album’. But from the looks of it, there’s a lot of filler in there as well to pad it out…a bunch of instrumentals and some other things that look like they might be interludes or something like that? Content-wise I’m predicting it’s more like an album and a half.

It doesn’t appear this is on Japanese iTunes yet, is it a webshop only release?

The single released in July hasn’t been released digitally so…:smiling_face_with_tear:

This album is super solid

Haven’t they already released all of these songs? This is just a compilation album, right?

There’s about an album’s worth of actual new tracks spread out among previously released stuff. So like 2/3 of the whole thing is “old”/already released, the rest is “new-new” (2 instrumentals and 9 ‘regular’ songs if I counted right).

Dang, can’t believe I haven’t listened to this yet btw, gotta give it a spin sometime soon…

It’s a shame they’re gone…they were one of my favorite bands.

So, which are “new-new” tracks?

If you scroll a bit more upwards where there’s a tracklist written out by Shaolan974 back in November, it’s the songs that have ※新曲 written next to them (except for the 2 versions of 血界 NEW WORLD, which had been already released as singles by the album’s release).

Those extracts confirm to me that they are done, and it’s a wise decision to stop the band.

They definitely creates more interesting (like many bands) during the begin of their career (and also the middle part too).

Finally listening to this album, and amazed how good it is.

I always was an casual listener to D, and never got deep into their discography. Now I’m regretting that. I always knew they were one of the best, but now I get why people really love this band.

Asagi’s voice always stole my attention, but now I stoped and really listened to the instruments. I’m blown away with the quality of the guitar work, the bass lines. Divine.

The album is almost 2 hours long, but it doesn’t feel like it

It’s a shame their albuns are a mess on streaming, cause I want to go and listen to them all
