Sorry but whatever wholesome story they want to turn it into. They literally scammed their audience. I have even less respect for them now
I dont think its scammed. I think its more or less Chiaki (千秋) has a different musical taste then the other members. There are moments you tend to have that one or two band members that feels different about thier own sound at a certain point. Most likely the mental issues didn’t help with this either.
Im sure there are plenty of musicians that have felt similar to chiaki and ended up disbanding the band.
I honestly commend Chiaki for staying with his band and the other members being able to find a compromise in thier musical direction to continue. Its pretty hard to do and im sure might have been stressful. Of course i cant speak for them i dont know how that went down but im sure chiaki felt bad about it.

Scammed? How? Bands do this all the time. People grow and change. Sometimes they lose old fans and gain new ones. Lots of bands sound nothing like their old releases. Sometimes it’s a dealbreaker for some fans. It happens.
Dezert gya used to be a bunch of “weird gyaru” according to chiaki. Now you won’t find a single gyaru in the audience, weird or no. The band used to spit water onto the audience. They don’t do that anymore. Are they scamming people there too?

If you with no previous announcement to let the audience know before buying the tickets play a set of completely different style it is basically the same as having an entire different band perform than for which you pay for. It is literally just one of those scams where you buy one thing and get another cheaper one just so they can refuse to refund you „because you got something after all“

Dezert formed in 2011.
Black hole, the album that most people agree is their turning point, came out in 2019.
They did 8 years of heavy music before pivoting to a different style and they still play old songs at lives. What part of that is the scam?

Most people here got to listen to their sound for free via Youtube or spoti. Fans knew what they were getting into before actually purchasing anything so idk where the scam would’ve come from
