Placing a bet here, but I think we’ll get remakes for the remaining songs of gauze this year. So maybe there will be another new single later

Question.

Gauze are the original release or a remake album?

What’s the point of a MEGA JACKET when it’s smaller than an LP?

I imagine there would be a standard edition if it was a remake album. The description on CDJapan calls it a reissue too, so everything indicates it’s the original album

I never considered for a second it would be a remake album. Where does that idea even come from when in recent years theyve already released re-recordings of the majority of the songs from it anyway??

Just a gimmick to entice people to buy from amazon. It’s honestly such a pointless bonus.

Ahhh yeah let the waiting game begin.

The price is honestly ridiculous, but it’s Gauze and beats paying $700. I’m hoping this means the sound is phenomenal. According to the product description from HMV…

“The disc was completed using the advanced skills of Mr. Toru Kotetsu of JVC Mastering Center, a master of record cutting, and has a finish that allows you to enjoy the depth and delicacy that is unique to records, which is a little different from CDs and digital sound sources.”

“Limited editions” of vinyl records without giving specific numbers is such a scam. Also 8800 yen for a regular vinyl record is insane.

Why is it up for preorder on CDJapan already, but not on Amazon JP?

Ugh I look at this, and now I really feel like I need to get that Hisaishi vinyl too haha. Incredible soundtrack. That’s gonna be a historic mail day for you

I get where you’re coming from. But the way I thought about it when I saw, is that it’s “limited” in the sense that they’re only making to order. So if only 8,802 orders are placed, only 8,802 are pressed. Does that make sense? I wonder if this is the case.

Then they’d have to distribute it through their store exclusively or something, because you can cancel orders on CDJapan and Amazon until it ships basically.
Also considering that pressing plants need orders 6+ months before pressing them, it’s unrealistic I’d say. MUCC does (did?) that made to order a few times and they had like 4-5 months-ish for pressing/producing it between the pre-order period and the release date.

Then I guess we’ll have to see. PHALARIS did the same thing if I recall. Are there any numbers on how many of those were pressed?
