DIR EN GREY

-mushi- is a perfect illustration of your words for me.

I do like Soft En Grey, but it’s ultimately a moot point when “soft” was an incorrect translation lol. Still hoping for some good Sensitive Jams!

Give us another “Namakashiki Ansoku…” you cowards. That was peak soft en grey.

And it’s in 5/4 to boot!

Will this delay/be in the way of the album single? Or is just its own thing that they do for the fans? I am one of those who don’t think its too hype so I hope they wont delay the new album single/album.

I think it’s its own thing and hopefully they go through and press a few more albums. Maybe put the remasters on Spotify.

Same here. I actually like it very much instrumentally, a bit different from your usual DEG slower song.

If it weren’t for ain‘t afraid to die and VINUSHKA, this would be my #1.

Two worthy alternate choices. If I’m being honest, ain’t afraid to die is my #1 dir en grey song ever. There’s just something about the song and PV that feels perfect and timeless.

It’s definitely up there in my top 3 for me. The vocal and piano melodies are gorgeous, I’ve always been a huge fan of guitar tones that have that lush wash of chorus, and when the children’s choir joins during the climax of the song it always fills me with a sense of longing. Everything about the composition, the arrangement, and the mix all work together to create a genuine treasure of a song.

If their next album will be released later than April 1st, it will mark the new record for the longest gap between two album releases.

Currently, it’s 1386 days between ARCHE and The Insulated World.

I used to play this song quite a lot on guitar and never noticed that. It flows so effortlessly in that time signature!

This was actually quite interesting when all played at the same time. I like the Tupahtupah bit around 2.20. Haha.

So they played like twenty songs and it doesn’t appear any of LF202 (outside of a short video on a random channel (https://youtu.be/kmnsaeW-rwQ?si=DlxXaWRDWy51A-uZ) is going to be on WOWOW or U-NEXT or any damned thing any time soon.

they played 17 songs which is a standard number. lunatic fest 2025 will be broadcast on fuji-tv on the 31st of january and the 1st of february next year
