Any info on how long/different Mazohyst was?
Sounds close to the mode of GAUZE version, I guess with the same length

From what we’ve heard so far, Eddie sounds nothing like The Inferno. As far as I’m aware, they’re not even in the same key and share very little musically other than a quick tempo, and they both happen to feature 2 guitars, bass, drums, and a vocalist.

Well, the snippet makes it look like their new fast-paced-lyrically-unintelligible song where Shinya just hits his drums without any color in it on basic riffs. You’re right, it’s a downgraded The Inferno. More seriously, that feeling comes from the drumming style I think.

The drumming style between the two isn’t even the same. From what I can hear, the drums sound more in line with what we heard from the Rasetsukoku remake more than The Inferno.
If you actually wanted to throw some legitimate criticism at the 30 second sample, and some of the other samples in general, it would be Dir en grey’s reliance on using diminished chords for transitions into new sections. It’s all over the samples and they’re employed in the same exact way across different songs.
That, to me, seems like much more of a reasoned criticism than airing your grievances about a band you used to like, mocking people who still enjoy their music, and promoting your band.

There’s a better way to express constructive criticisms and grievances than resorting to sarcastic responses and subliminals. Music is subjective and everyone will take away different positives and negatives, but balance is key. Being either blindly positive or overly critical is not good. It’s better to focus on the bigger things that excite and unite us than the small things that divide us. We don’t get a new Dir en grey album every year. We’re not always guaranteed a new album. Try not to tear each other apart over thirty second samples.
