DIR EN GREY

23 posts were split to a new topic: DIR EN GREY TOUR 25 WHO IS THIS HELL FOR USA Leg announced

This video is hilarious

Shinya talked about every band in the world but Dir En Grey. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of every band in the scene.

Also his reaction everytime Kisaki appeared in a magazine is priceless. Just that is worth the watch

about the tour he said “we played all the songs in Gauze” so - remake confirmed?? hopefullyyyy

Why would that be confirmation of a remake??? Haha. Hes just saying the played all the songs on a tour, its not uncommon for them to do full album tours. Besides they basically have rerecorded everything from that album now anyways.

Next it’s time to remaster MACABRE. Then Kisou. Kisou could really benefit from another pass. Then I’d stop, because only the visual era albums really need it.

We need more bossa inspired visual kei songs in general. Bring that Garota de Harajuku energy.

I don’t understand why they haven’t made a reworked version if this. It would be so good…unless they go the route of number single remake

So how long do you think we have to wait for a new single? Honestly devil in me is pretty good, not exactly a song you would introduce to someone who is interested in trying out DeG, but its a fine start for the album. Way better than ochita and ningen wo kaburu already.
What do ya guys say?

Optimistically, they gonna announce it at the end of “WHO THE HELL DO WE PLAY FOR?” tour, since their 2025 schedule is pretty bare (US LA gigs and Androgynos DVD/BD release).
But WHO THE HELL knows what they are cooking nowadays.

I dont know. Email their management and ask them as them and the band are the only ones probably who will have any info on that.

next summer for new single, unless they decide to record a mini with 3-4 of their random VK era songs and throw an extra new song referencing melodic VK as a PV track.

2025-09-20? It’s the last day of summer and 25 years since MACABRE. Maybe we get a Myaku/[KR]cube/Taiyou no Ao triple single commemoration? A man can dream.

They’ve been touring nonstop past two years, don’t know if they have anything on the oven. But they go back to cooking sometime next year for sure. I feel they are done with the Bull Era after that triple dvd release

I’m betting again on Schwein no Isu remake B-side on the next single

apparently kaoru said that they’ve started working on the next album:

“In the final greeting, Kaoru said “DIR EN GREY will keep going” and “We started working on the album yesterday” which gave me a lot of hope.”

i remember interviews during the 2019-2020 overseas tour asking about the next album and the members answers were along the lines of “we haven’t started thinking about it yet”, so maybe a 2025 release? would be nice for the gap to be 3 years instead of 4.

i wonder if corona slowed them down or sped them up?
