Ngl I miss the era when people just went ham on fictional media. Like Cannibal Corpse said fuck it, name a song Necropedophile. Literally just that.
Wow, that stuff is old. And weâve chewed that through several times.

Past that as @colorfuljinsei the cancel culture goes past VK.
A while ago some pop fans found Cannibal Corpse and screamed to cancel them ![]()
OMG YES THANK YOU, I was looking for that. (Deleted the rest of this because I feel I have said too much and I donât want the cancel culture mfs finding this and unleashing their unholy wrath)
what were they exspecting from a band with THAT name???
Donât let em find out about the entire subgenre of goregrind ![]()
Itâs sad really though, American rock music is in shambles. Japanese culture here is more popular than ever (AnimeNYC in NY was as packed out as Comicon)
I think about popularity = fan base = mainstream (Also marketing which these bands would never do aside from Anime Openings? Idk that much) BUT I worry itâs been gate-kept for too long. American VK fans seem this way so far from my experience but could be wrong.. Maybe it is seen as too extreme in Japan and too âedgyâ in Japan (They must be lying to themselves) but America should be gobbbbbbling this up more like the fat pigs we are!
It was âmainstreamâ enough for many bands to feature in anime OPs and TV series in Japan but itâs not that common anymore so I donât think itâd ever be super mainstream on the level of pop or rock without at least losing their VK appeal
