Pretty sure it’s a tapir, which is the name of their song 貘. It’s also a kind of supernatural creature said to eat dreams, which would explain the demented expression. (That’s where the Pokemon Drowzee and Hypno come from too).

Even if it’s just under 40 minutes it would still be considered an album. An EP is generally considered to be 4-6 songs with a run time of under 30 minutes.
There are weird cases sometimes. Frances the Mute by Mars Volta is almost 80 minutes, but because there are only 5 songs, the label said they had to split the last song up to increase the song count, otherwise they would have been paid for an EP.
The Smashing Pumpkins CD single for Zero was considered an EP and in the US because it was 7 tracks, and Billboard song limit for singles was 4. It’s a bunch of weird criteria, but 8 songs at over 30 minutes definitely qualifies as a full album.

Can’t forget Slayer’s Reign in Blood, which is 10 tracks and 25 minutes.
Regardless, I was hoping for one or two additional tracks that haven’t already been released. I feel that complaint is valid.

To me that time didn’t matter, I was just referring to what had been said.
I might pick this up if it appears on OTOTOY. As a rule I usually prefer physical releases but I don’t feel like shelling out 3000+shipping for 8 tracks for a new band I’m still on the fence about lol.
I mean. I would say you are moreso interested in having a bigger collection of new songs from an artist than being interested in necesarily filling a big amount of time.
I would always go first with number tracks as base for calling something an album or not before the lenght. yet I would not count the SE/intermission tracks of an album as a song.
Where are you getting 33 minutes from? I’m getting 36 minutes for all the singles which is longer than some other albums
