they pretty obviously are. just because they’re more tasteful than usual cover slop does not make them hand-made (and they don’t even look consistent with dj’s history of fairly simple album cover art.)

the images are pieces of AI made… with cutouts pasted onto prepared backplates and unified in post the most likely explanation.
its like i think were likely built with a collage-driven workflow: fixed backplates (backgrounds) + AI-generated elements (face, smoke, ruins, “void/eye”) pasted in.

I don’t see why we have to sperg out about AI in every single fucking thread. I hate metalcore but I don’t bitch about every other core band, because that’s just the new thing now; it sucks but everyone is doing it, so it’s no use bitching about it. You all might as well be talking into an endless void.

That’s exactly the point. If we cannot even talk about the use of artificial in art, It’s gonna become a topic that will disappear. But the questions that it brings are legite. I personnally gonna support the few artists and bands that will do handmade.

why? We don’t move the conversations for other criticism into other threads as well. Why can’t we critic AI usage on the release thread as well? I don’t care if you find it annoying it is critic which deserves to get heard the same way as every other one.

I agree in a sense a 
reaction button would be preferable and would have sufficed. I feel like posting content like this straight to the AI thread would be more constructive, but it will keep the artist/news threads even more dead, so idk what’s the general consensus here.
calling out ugly looking productions should be always an option, especially with bands that started on ¥500 budget in their 20s and have reverted to the same state 20 years later.

Yuya The band member. The whole point of the meme is that you actually resolve the problem in a way that also works as the punchline of a joke.
The usual style being
Problem: I can’t fit this fictional character as my banner:
Resolution: use a screenshot of the moment they lay dead on the floor.
But what yuya did was neither related to the problem a solution to the problem or a gag. The ultimative nothing burger
