JILUKA announce WORLD TOUR 2024 K4RMA (Japan, Europe and US)

Doing a con, there isn’t a chance that you’ll be making a loss unless it’s already factored in. Do a normal US tour that flops and you’ll drive yourself into premature disbandment like D’espairsray did

Why is noone understanding what Im saying here… I give up, alright, yeah, cons are way safer.

Bringing bands to cons is cheaper and doing actual venues is hard to break even that’d just common sense.

Same why the two festival dates (which have been announced before) are why they’re giving the Europe tour a shot. Don’t think they’d have done it without that.

The LA date is not AX and is not an event with Fukuro either. But it is an event.

Also, why does every country deserve a single date but if the US doesn’t get half the dates y’all cry? Be more grateful. It’s already the most inconvenient and expensive country to go play at.

So few Vkei bands come overseas it’s kind of a dick move to schedule a show at the exact same place and time as another band unless it’s the same event because you are taking money from the same very small fan pool without time for it to replenish forcing people to choose.

You’re forgetting the amount of western metalheads that like Jiluka too.

The only thing I can see being a problem will be if it is a one-man show and then only 40 minutes long. There is a lot of people who could get pissed off with that.

Yeah, there are some people out there that like to shut down criticism with “be grateful that they come there at all!” But at the end of the day, fans have to do what makes financial sense for them as well. Why should I keep flying across the continent to see these bands if I could just pay for one trip to Japan and see 12 bands with better merch selections, longer one man sets, and more intimate environments for the smaller bands?

I think some of the bands still don’t fully understand the western market. We’re used to multi-band events playing progressively longer setlists as the night goes on (rather than the Taiban model, where bands all get equal time). We’re used to being able to take photos whenever (although most bands have now acquiesced on this).

More of us tend to go into a concert with the intention of listening to all of the bands, not just one. The noticeable dynamic of “this band’s fans” vs “that band’s fans” is pretty rare. Most VK fans over here tend to spread out their interest instead of fixating on only one band (although, that trend seems to be changing with the influx of new fans).

A lot of the issues that VK bands faced during the boom could have been solved by either having multi-band tours or by them spreading out their tour dates more so that more people could have afforded to travel. For some years, and some areas, it can be like a rapid fire over a couple months, then nothing for five years.

Well the person who said it wasn’t AX said it’s another event so I’m assuming some kind of Festival.

There’s still a lot that we don’t seem to know. We know the Fukuro event is the 6th, but they said that “they don’t think they can announce it officially until May”. I’m really not sure if AX delays their concert announcements for that long or not.

We will see. Hopefully both bands have successful outings!

Jesus christ! Have you seen the ticket prices? £50 base ticket + £7 fees, thats more than Dir en Grey. Love the fact they are touring outside Japan and would love to support them but that is STEEP.

I’ll be at köln, say hi if you go too

Yeah no I’m not paying 45€ for them. I’d love to support V-kei in my country, but don’t listen to them, that’s too much.

80 euros for VIP where all you get is one pic, priority entry and a gift bag is even more insane imo.

At one hand I want them succeed so that more bands from there come over to play. on the other hand, thoses prices are indeed a bit steep for who they are. With how expensive it is nowadays to go out to a concert or an event it makes one think twice about wether or not one should go. 80 for VIP is crazy (personally I don’t care about it though). I have however seen bands that were way more well known and popular but also had to do expensive traveling to get to Europe charging way less.

Meanwhile sailing before the wind playing in Italy with 2 Italian bands for 5 euro entry… :face_in_clouds:

That’s not the worst, I came across the ticket prices for london

(it’s around 150euro or 160dollar)

I have to make some corrections
80euro is only for the meet and greet, there is no general admission to the concert later on
You need a seperated ticket for that apparently.

So if you want “vip ticket” aka meet and greet AND concert
You pay 80euro plus 45 Euro

Not far off from the London price anymore

I leave that up to you guys to tell me if that is expensive and too much for a band like them or not

If the VIP was a real VIP then maybe, but it’s just a few seconds meet and greet before the show and early entry so it’s an absolute price gouge.
