Military-Kei (軍隊系)

Let’s list off and show bands who have a military aesthetic that’s not Nazi influenced; like Anime military, Trails of Cold Steel style?
Luvielle (ルヴィーユ)

Zeke Deux

DIAURA, especially yo-ka.

Oh, forgot latest JILUKA apparently.

NICOLAS (This is more WW2 Japanese style, but yeah.)

i’ve been into ww2 Japan and blah blah and I’ve noticed that a lot bands take inspiration from ww2 like based on their looks and sometimes lyrics I think? but yeah does anyone have any recommendations on bands that have like military elements in them? like rn I’ve been listening to the band that got cancelled “Grand Guignol” and I’m into lhc and all that.

Thank you.

All I can offer is this song by Gallo, the lyrics fit your request but Gallo themselves aren’t a military band

Still waiting for Pickelhaube Kei here.

damn that’s some niiiice discovery here thanks for that

Huh actually it depends if you mean woke band ( on the good side of history obviously ) , or if it’s mainly for FasHiON ! If it’s the second option, there is quite a lot of band in VK history who had at least one photoshoot with uniforms ( sometimes shocking ones, yeah these ones ), like The GazettE, BT, Merry, R-shitei, DeG, Sadie and many many many others, if it’s about the first option there are quite few well-known ones who displays those kind of subjects in their songs and music.

( just wanted to share this somewhere lol many of their songs and looks have military elements but the lyrics and overall vibes doesn’t have anything to do with the main subject )

Diaura if you haven’t checked them out yet

I always think about the album that kinda took it to it’s conceptual aesthetic extremes: 汎新日本主義 (Pan-Neojapanism) by Ali Project.

Wasn‘t like basically most of gallos discography of war crimes of japanese soldiers and how other Japanese people got betrayed by their own country

Never thought about that before, but seeing Yuramekis post made me realize that some bands might have probably east German uniforms in the 90s as costumes

Yeah the Mao series is apparently mainly a critic on that

Not sure if other songs too

That site might help if anyone wants to read more
