MIYAVI 2 new albums "Lost In Love" and "Found In Pain" release

The first single got released and I didn’t even see. It’s exactly what you expect from modern miyavi, but I would be lying if I said this isn’t enjoyable

sounds like shit as usual, but holy fuck that cover look??? are we in 2002 again?

I’m not seeing the PV anywhere yet, either?

typically american mainstream music. awful even in english. The first worst release of the year!

Prefer destroy this mordern and bring back to life 雅-miyavi-

I miss that bastard

it’s the same pasteurized overproduced western sellout shit he’s doing for the last few years. I would much prefer something that wasn’t this

but it’s not BAD, it only isn’t good nor have an soul

Yep! I just don’t get why he is making this stuff. There are thousands of western artists who already do this kind of music. Why does he want to be the 1001. guy doing it when he is absolutely capable of doing something unique? Can he really get more money with this boring stuff? Isn’t the market over satisfied?

That was really terrible like you guys said, so generic it hurts.

I think we are still in the y2k era.Unless the kids got bored of that now.

I mean he is getting on soundtracks and apparently some parts in western movies. So ,I guess he is making more money.

There is not visual kei on this video music… Please change to Global music tag!

The News category is appropriate here — it is for news about all J-rock releases. The Global Music category is for non-Japanese releases. It has nothing to do with whether the artist is visual kei or not.

Man, that just doesn’t sound good. It doesn’t sound anything like Miyavi either - not even the vocals.

I don’t know this guy anymore.
I think I’d prefer if he went the more posh route, cleaned up, mellowed out. Last I remember, he is a dad, right? I couldn’t watch more than a few seconds of that clip. Come on Miyavi, mellow Korean rock. Mellowww… maybe a beanie, white soft loose suit and comfort shoes. Serenade slice of life. Try it. If it sucks, you can always come back to this.

cacophony noun

1
: harsh or jarring sound :
specifically : harshness in the sound of words or phrases
2
: an incongruous or chaotic mixture : a striking combination

Cacophony comes from a joining of phōnḗ (“sound” or “voice”) with the Greek prefix kak- (from kakos, meaning “bad”), so it essentially means “bad sound.”

A cacophony is a mishmash of unpleasant sounds, often at loud volume. It’s what you’d hear if you gave instruments to a group of four-year-olds and asked them to play one of Beethoven’s symphonies.

A cacophony is a jarring, discordant mix of sounds that have no business being played together. When the orchestra tunes up before a show, it sounds like a cacophony because each musician is playing a completely different tune, at different times, and at different volumes. Once the show begins, that cacophony had better turn into a melody, or audiences will demand a refund. This allegedly occurred during the first time Igor Stravinsky’s score for the ballet “The Rite of Spring” was performed because its difficult composition and discordant tone was shocking.

he’s been serving for two covers straight this time, adding insult to the injury…

The song is ass and that video is very cringe, but part of me still can’t help but wonder if it would at least sound just a liiiiiiiitttle better if he were singing in Japanese.

Love the guitar playing in that short clip btw, Miyavi… Especially the part where I can’t tell if there’s any guitar in there. Remember when Miyavi was blowing up and other than his looks and uniqueness it was his guitar playing which got him a lot of attention? Feels really good to see him abandon that.

Singing in English? Maybe, maybe not. But I do think pandering to a global audience has destroyed his sound.

oh no miyavi is doing vore

Whenever I hear a Japanese singer release a song in English I start thinking the inverse.

Are the Japanese lyrics to the songs I love equally as cringe and I’m just not fluent or native enough to really recognize it as such?

The more I understand as the years go on, the more I realize that some songs are just not that great lyrically and I gave these songs a pass because they sounded nice.
