MIYAVI has left THE LAST ROCKSTARS

This is another baffling Yoshiki move. He decided to take a group that already has way too many members…and add more members.

The way it’s just kind of announced as like, just another thing is so funny to me for some reason. Guess I’m just used to more formal withdrawal announcements lol

TLRS announcement style is quite interesting, ain’t it  Oh man…

Just release live albums and concert dvds from the two tours and bring it to a close.

MYV leaving seams like a pretty big blow, as he, and the play between him and Hyde, seamed to be the major draw to TLRS (as the music itself isn’t a big draw and is hugely disappointing for many if not the majority…) The music style and direction also seamed pretty heavily in tune to him and his style. So, what’s the point of continuing?

Oh please no… :grimacing: :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Makes me think there was a little feud or something :smirk:

They’re reportedly still collaborating so, doesn’t seem likely.

I know we all like to meme on TLRS here bc Yoshiki Bad™, but I do hope they continue after this - if only to give the people more than two jokes to recycle endlessly. Miyavi was the weakest of the Rockstars (with all due respect), and it’s not like X is going to budge any time soon.

hmmm. Except that it was stated MYV and Yoshiki are still going to be working together in the future… so who would he be feuding with?

There was a moment when this ship wasn’t sinking?

Ah nevermind then, I was uninformed :face_with_peeking_eye:

Who will be the last rockstar standing?

It was supposed to be unsinkable, in Yoshiki’s mind.:smirk:

Miyavi’s comment. Also has translation of his comment he left on IG and such, it looks like.

“Remain connected to the group”… hmmm

myv’s reasoning was pretty much what I expected.

he explained back in the days that S.K.I.N. didn’t move forward because each one had their own thing to do and couldn’t focus on be an actual band together and it’s pretty clear that this is more of the same

the olds dudes are lazy and he doesn’t seem too keen of being in a band just for the sake of it

I may hate 98% of his music for the past 15 years but you gotta respect his hustle

Okay in all seriousness i haven’t liked any of myv’s solo stuff at all but i did go to see tlrs’s debut show. Sugizo vs myv’s guitar jam session was phenomenal. Seeing their wildly different styles clash was really exciting and for me was the highlight of the show. But tlrs songs are so… Meh. The lyrics are meh. Over promised and under delivered as usual for a yoshiki project.

It’s so funny to me that they even officially announce him leaving because the band is done anyway. 2 (?) songs in two years in an age where bands put out 2 songs a month to feed the algorithm.

They already have a long career, each of them. They don’t have to feed the algorithm.

I did like the Suigzo-based songs, rearranged and originals, but otherwise, absolutely agree; that guitar battle was the absolute highlight of their show. The music was just so underwhelming. And as much of it matched MYV’s current style…

SKIN’s 4 songs were way higher quality and more engaging…

hmmm, Sugizo is not in any way lazy… he’s also in multiple bands and manages well enough. He’s not new to juggling multiple band and projects.

Since he’s still working with Yoshiki, and perhaps even TLRS in some way…

After thinking about it, seeing some of the stuff MYV has been doing since TLRS, perhaps he didn’t want TLRS to be too high, or to big of, a priority over other things he’s interested in doing, so he decided to pull out. If he’s still involved in some way, then perhaps that’s his way of balancing his priorities.

I mean, none of the members except Yoshiki are lazy. Hyde put out a new solo album, released a song with L’Arc and is in the middle of a world tour.

Well, depends. For Japan not so much, but for international success definitely.

What I mean is, that it’s normal to be constantly fed new releases. If they release one song a year, people outside of the members’ hardcore fan bubble will stop caring and forget about it. It wasn’t designed to be sustainable considering they apparently haven’t recorded any other songs that are ready to be released. If I was them, I would have released an album right after the start.

what you say would be right if all of them focus only on this band. But they are popular and active in others projects. So whenever they will release something for this band, people and fans will listen.

They just take this band like extra cash to have with few concerts, nothing more
