Heavily agree with the MUCC take. This album made me grab a 7 String guitar 6 months into being a beginner lol.

You and me both. From one metalhead to another, the guitar makes more sense when you can find the notes you wanna play, and tuning 2.5-3.5 steps down to get that crunchy A/A#/B tone is not as easy as just having the extra thicc boi on top.

I disageee about the ’ shaky production ’ of this album. It’s raw and part of its charm. Sounds unique to me.
Nowadays productions are too polished and similar from bands to bands.
