I hate to say that this doesn’t sound like a very strong debut. The title track with the PV has some catchiness to it at parts, but in the end it feels that something is lacking for it to be a real banger. All other songs in the preview kind of blended together for me like they all were the same song… it felt like a mindfuk.
The theme of the band feels kind of halfassed, they are “women”? Then they come for promo to Tower Records in pajamas? What an effort. The logo being a bit controversial is fine.
But if this is the best they could come up with after having probably years of preparation, I can’t really say that I’m impressed or hyped. AND I used to be a Merry fan! Some of my all time favorite vk/jrock songs are Merry. I listen to “Ringo to Uso” every single day and never get tired of it. So please don’t think I’m a “hater”. I love Gara and the other members and when I saw this I got soooo excited, but damn man…

I’m really shocked that they made all of the tracks 30 seconds long too. It’s a bold move but it didn’t pay off at all.
And the vocalist is so unoriginal. He sounds too much like that guy from Mary. Been there done that!
At least Madonna likes them enough to let them use her logo though. That’s a really big deal.

they’re obviously haggard crossdressers, im pretty sure they don’t take themselves seriously in any way lol

I thought the EP is pretty good, and this comes from someone that doesn’t particularly enjoy Gara’s voice and it’s occasionally annoyed by his vibrato. Compared to the last release from The God and the blablabla the songwritting is better here, I feel. It’s all Aie stuff but I have the feeling working with different people elevated it a bit.

It’s very clear the band don’t take themselves seriously, and it’s part of their concept. There is a lot of humor behind. “We are women”, coming in pyjamas, etc.
