after listening to the new BT song I am glad I discovered recently the concept of alexithymia bc it’s .. a very pervasive thing lol grief doesn’t feel like grief as much as it feels like a weird void nts do NOT get that lol how to explain the fact that I still weep thinking I wish my mom was there bc she would help me navigate this shit even though she hasn’t been around for 12 years to ppl who feel things normally and thought I was being ‘exceptionally strong’ for being like 'oh she passed 🙂 ’ my bro thats not strength thats what I look like when my insides have collapsed hope to have cleared things up !!! ---

I had a coworker who did something similar once! She brought like a deep hotplate and started doing a stir fry in the pantry lol. We didnt have openable windows or an exhaust fan so the smell just lingered. She did that for a couple days and then someone complained lmao ---

Why does the on-hold music on every damn company or department here gets interrupted like every 10 seconds to tell me that I shall stay in line it will take a moment? Every time the music gets lower I think that now someone is going to pick up and prepare to talk. After a few minutes of that my mind starts drifting off and when finally someone does pick up I almost miss this. Or in other words: tons of calls today and more time spent on hold than talking to actual people. Also, why do people only relate name changes with marriages (over here)? Is it so wild after the past months and how things got treated to think of more than just this? No, it’s not the “normal” name change (whatever makes first name changes unnormal). ---

I was on hold for some work related stuff and they didn’t even had music. It was just non stop repeating very loudly: “PLEASE WAIT A MOMENT UNTIL THE NEXT EMPLOYEE IS FREE TO TAKE YOUR CALL”. This lasted for 10 or 15 minutes and then it told me to try again later and hung up… 🥲 ---

i never know how much i’m supposed to charge for my services. i just plugged in the numbers and the amount seems absurdly high. took a quick google and it looks like everyone in the industry is willingly working for peanuts? Like if I’m working at that rate then I’m better off just not adding more work to my schedule, but I also feel like I’m indirectly turning down a potential client by charging what \*I \* think my time is worth.
