I think his mom died around '09 since he had that sad song called Mother and he talked about him and his mom being a lot alike and something about she was smoking in the hospital (even though it’s not allowed) because she couldn’t give up the smokes. I know he is/was from manic depression.

Of course smoking isn’t allowed in the hospital. Why did she do that? But I think I read something like that in an older Twitter post And he suffers or suffered from depression? oh no But I have to take a closer look at the lyrics

I think he snuck it in or maybe she was dying and docs were like “just let her have her smokes”. Kouryu even mentions the manic depression of Ryoga in one of his posts. He says something like he’s proud or inspired .

That’s quite possible Why ban it if it’s the last thing she can do Yes, I saw that post recently. Such beautiful words from Kouryu 
Even if there is probably some truth behind it
but when the word manic-depressive is used, it is usually related to bipolar disorder
But somehow it makes sense. Not that I want to spread a rumor. It’s just a theory, if that’s what I can tell from Kouryu’s post. I’ve been following the topic of bipolar disorder for a while and certain behaviors from Ryoga definitely point to the manic phase. Which isn’t wrong and is better than the depressive phase I just don’t know how they generally deal with it as a band when he has a depressive phase. Obviously his illness was communicated, that’s clear. Which is of course good, without question.

Ryoga was born in 1985. 
He had his birth year on a D Mad Tea Party magazine last year. Also I go to their concerts a lot and they’re all open about their ages except Nikky. But it was confirmed that Kouryu is the youngest.

I haven’t seen their heights anywhere officially but Kouryu is the tallest. I’d guess about 178-180cm. Iza, Tsurugi, & Nikky might be 174-177cm and Ryoga is the shortest - I wanna say 170cm ish

Iza is on par with Ryoga when it comes to shout vocals. On his birthday this year he handed his bass to Ryoga and sang “Iya Iya Iya” by himself. (On the set list they renamed the song to “Iza Iza Iza”)

Ryoga covered “Radical Hysteria” (Born) for the first time in 8 years for his birthday live (they really just do the most epic stuff on their birthdays)

Natsu of Nocturnal Bloodlust was a support drummer after Tetsuya left. Even though Nikky is around he still does support drums if needed (he covered last year and this year)

It surprises me that people say Iza has an intimidating aura. He always looks pretty kind and cheerful to me. More so than the other guys maybe so feel hes totally opposite to intimidating. Haha.

Ryoga might have known more English when he promoted with Born (since they promoted internationally) but I’ll have to say he doesn’t know English.
He forgot the English lyrics to “Innocence” one live (nothing wrong with that 
) and I get really nervous when I see him in instore events still so sometimes I get quiet and he’ll try to speak English but um it’s not there

Kouryu’s English is really good! It threw me off guard and I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere that he speaks English. I heard if you speak to him in Mandarin he’ll help you out since a lot of his fans are learning Mandarin because of him.

Remembered something that might be good here. At one point they did have member colors, although they don’t really do anything with it I feel. Ryoga was red, Tsurugi blue, Kouryu green, Iza pink, and Nikky yellow.

Yeah it’s kinda weird I def see Kouryu wearing red more & Iza has been wearing light blue. Tsurugi had an all black party (concert) back in February.
