Ryuya is awesome i am happy he still is in touch with the band!
Oh that makes more sense. I donât know them so I asked someone and they told me it was Seiya lol
I hope they fixed the beef regardless.
Means the band has not intention to pay the fees. such bitchy move!
He gave the band all the copyrights because the band wouldnât budge and he was sick of the back and forth.
Strange because itâs pretty easy to get a song taken down from streaming platforms if you file a copyright claim. Thatâs usually how you get someone to cave and settle.
I guess he is the bigger person and doesnât want to harm their business with song take downs.
Still a shame. If he wrote the songs, he should be able to use the rights like every other song writer. Not a good look for the band. But well, in the end thatâs one side of the story and maybe there is more to it, that we donât know.
I know that on YouTube it is not as easy as you think it is, so I wouldnât have any good hopes for Spotify etc either
And then he is as private musicians up against a major label.
And as @CervaCannibale said there, maybe be is trying to be the better person than them.
I wonder if itâd cost more to settle in his favor than heâd earn back from royalties.
Regardless, I called this a while ago.
I think itâs a combo of what Rena and Zeus said.
First of all, itâs very possible that he has no legal ground to stand on. It might seem morally correct for him to retain sole copyrights, but it might very much not be so legally. Itâs quite common here in Korea to have labor contracts where anything you produce during the contract period becomes sole property of your employer. The money and recognition is tied to the collective group as opposed to the individual. Whether or not the others contributed isnât really relevant unless itâs written into the contract.
In addition, itâs hard for him to be going against a more popular group. If he DID manage to copystrike some Deviloof songs, he would draw the ire of all Deviloof fans. Fighting with a group now signed to a larger label could also make him look troublesome and nuke his reputation and future career. Itâs better to not waste his time and energy on this further and focus on his music moving ahead, so heâs making a very smart decision.
simple solution: hire him as their song writer, he gets the major label writerâs cut , the band becomes famous-er with more br00tlly songs than their last crap, they make more money, he makes more money and the label makes more money. Itâs a win-win-win!
Either that or laugh at Deviloof when they fall flat on their asses when people realise Seiya was the only reason they were worth signing lmao
The Deviloof members have more important things to do, such as posting silly videos on social media.
Is this some weird fever dream or did Aisaku once drink lean on Instagram live??
i thought the band was relatively new? theyre dying out awful quick
Theyâve been around since 2015 so almost 10 years. They only signed to a major label recently though!
They are dying a bit because ever since they run out of Seiya material they have been pretty awful.
Their recent singles are terrible. They obviously donât have the talent to write songs on their own. Really generic crap.
If I understood it right Seiya is the one who wrote all their good iconic songs, and now they behave like a-holes to him.
People wonât stay around for a band like this.
maybe thats the real reason why Aisaku left.
There is a chance he saw where this boat is heading, and jumped ship before it hits the iceberg
