Hawt. loll
Super old thread but I decided to hop on bc I found this photo from last year and I hardly recognize myself

excuse the smoke and flyaway hairs
spring is back and I desperately need to shop for clothes, anyone have ideas?
Reminds me of KOZI ![]()
Nice! Long hair suits you, I would definitely try a Leon S Kennedy cosplay.
A quality three piece hand crafted suit is at most 100 euros here in Turkey that’s commercially available, costs an arm and a leg for locals but it’s not uncommon in my experience seeing Russians or balkans shop in other countries that their economy is based off americas mainly because it’s cheaper.
Same goes for custom made leather jackets, they range from 45 euro to 60 euro depending on your order. I ordered a Adam jenson type trench coat and I mean the wallpaper one, down to the last detail cost me 50 euros.
I don’t really need to talk about casual clothes since they probably cost the same as salvation army.
I survived through hand me downs and sears in Canada, had to camp sales there was this one skechers shoes that I waited for a year to go on sale, been 12 years still sturdy.
Great ideas, all these! I would love to try the cosplay (still playing through remake right now)
so it’s the perfect time lol!
You’ve also reminded me very well that I need a new suit or some new formal in general - ive had the same one for much too long just because it fits - now I’m thinking about it though.
I guess I know where Ill be looking then next - can only hope I find something half as durable as those sketchers
thank you for all the input !!
I have a German B1 test in two weeks. I’m supper stressed but that won’t stop me from wearing cool clothes
Dunno where you’re located, so this might not be applicable, but thrift stores are fucking awesome if you have the time, patience, and imagination for them. With the way fast fashion is these days, the quality of inexpensive clothing is often so poor that’s it’s barely worth the expense, but you can get some awesome unique stuff in thrift stores.
And PRO TIP: DO NOT BE AFRAID TO SHOP IN ANY GENDER’S SECTION!! I buy a bunch of men’s clothing (big oversized cozy things yes) and I’m sure there could be some cool shit in the ladies’ section if you’re going for a more alternative look (cardigans and button downs are unisex yall). If you feel weird, just tell yourself that you’re shopping for your sibling/significant other.
Don’t look at stuff how it is on the hanger, visualize it on yourself as part of an outfit. That big knitted cardigan might say “secretary” on the hanger, but could be vkei with proper accessorizing and styling!
I’m in the Chicago area in the U.S. and thrift stores are definitely an option
I was just thinking about it this week so I think that may be the next thing I try (it’s been years lmao). The quality issue of buying things cheap is the worst too <//3.
TIP NOTED though - No fear and no excuses needed XD !! except… sizes are usually a deal breaker with ladies’ sections as most things run too short no matter where I shop. I love long cardigans though I’m always on the lookout!
Making interesting combinations of outfits and accessories seems the way to go - as just shopping for a ready-made look runs into all kinda of problems (including cost) ![]()
Anyway I did find somethings this past week on resale so outfitting begins again!

Seeing all those beautiful people here with amazing outfits make me wish I had a personality and a body.
Someday I will be able to pull of such a look, I promise.
