yep, lots of those younger crap product bands are just basically idol groups so you are def right on that. the ex. vexent member I knew did not even have a proper rig himself.

About Koichi and Mia, there is information in album Emotional Karma that Mia recorded guitar and bass. In others releases I couldn’t find anything about it.

The wording is a bit ambivalent, yeah, but it could also simply mean (in fact, I am strongly inclined to believe so) that MiA was the one handling the recordings of guitar and bass, maybe edited them and so on. Especially when you say that you could not find any more info on that on later discs (I am assuming). Probably they simply had a bigger budget afterwards and hired external people for that.
I am not that good (yet, I would hope) at recording either and credit someone for recording me, yet it is still me who writes and sings (and in the past played) the parts.
