Those first 2 vocalist struggling the highnotes 😬 there was a rap and an interpretive dance break lmao .. and was that a fake crowd singalong. It sounded like it got pulled from one of X’s lives. No way does that crowd know the lyrics and passionate enough to sing that loud … and there was a choir .. snapping their fingers with a two-step WTH Such a hot mess of a rendition for such an iconic song. ---

X was known all across Asia because prior to the explosion of Kpop, Japanese musical exports were the thing. In the world tours when they came back they performed at large venues in China and Korea. I don’t know how many tickets they moved, but here is X performing in Seoul with a real, ticket-purchasing attendance instead of at some recording industry award show with the credibility of a Belarusian presidential election. Thats pretty crazy when you think about it. Glay might not be the most popular band here but they were HUGE around the 2000s, like every single there for some time was became a million seller. Then Luna Sea, DeG and probably more. Not to forget his own X Japan of course! I know he is mostly seen as a meme recently but everything he has done for japanese rock/VK is pretty sick, and there will probably never be another one like him. ---

Visual kei was huge in Korea back in 90s, early K-pop boy bands copy a lot of visual kei aesthetics and apparently they still loves them as some of them still covering old school visual kei songs.
