I’m sorry, but I can’t take this band seriously. Of course, I hope they’ll have a healthy hiatus, maybe reinvigorate their creative juices (and maybe find a new composer ffs), but this whole situation is several steps away from repeating Dimlim disaster, imo.

The sad thing is, this is more a mental block than anything. Kizu can shit out three singles a year. Over the course of two years, that’s an album! An album every two years is not that bad. I would be willing to wait until 2029 for a potential second Kizu album. But somehow releasing them all at once instead of drip feeding them exhausted the band. I don’t understand. Maybe a musician can enlighten me?

Thanks. Was just looking for a translation of the announcement really since I couldn’t get much information from it. At least the album is still scheduled and they’ll still be in Paris, but this is totally expected as far as I’m concerned. Not surprised in the least.
very visual kei for the first overseas vk festival in a long time already has one band go on a hiatus.
I don’t know all the lore of kizu so I can’t say I’m shocked or anything. But from the songs I had heard there were a few I really quite enjoyed!!
