$108?! And that’s before any fees. It had better be an amazing set of “goods”!
Wow, what a surprise. Another overpriced dvd
Might be a potentially unpopular opinion, but these guys put out too many DVDs.
I realised that their stuff is expensive, even second-hand items. A 2017 band they are tryin to make it profit at all.
They do. Wouldnt be so bad if they put out new music so the setlists are dramatically different but when they are all near enough the same it gets a bit boring.
Well, as far as I nkow they are the only new vk band from the last 10 years that became big enough to play at Budokan
Their marketing strategy must be good. Not to mention the contacts they have today. But the price of their stuff is being abused. One day it will be saturated.
Really no excuse to not put out a blu-ray in 2024 other than for better profit margins cos DVDs are cheaper to produce.
A dual layer dvd costs about $1, a 50gb bd $3, 25gb is $1.6, but that for us regular humans, wholesale price is obviously better.
I have no idea about encoding but my 2 hour long Gazette blu rays (Dogma & Ninth) are 32gb and 20gb without reencode, so probably they could fit their lives on a 25gb one with marginal price difference.
With like 1-3 new songs they added to it I have there first anniversary dvd set and it’s pretty much the same as there current relases just missing some songs
108 dollars doesn’t include fees and importing cost Reiki better hand deliver this set to me then
Damn bruh wtf
I just got into this band a month ago lmfao
(Tried before in 2019, but didn’t like it yet at that time)
I’ll just check Mercari next year when I’m in Japan to see if they got cool merch and CDs there lol
yeah, produce bluray devours so much more money and devices which can launch blu ray still isn’t popular enough. so, less money invested, bigger market, bigger money.
Still, i would like see this live because i like so much their energy in cameras.
Every single release comes with a dvd release basically so…there like 500 ones to collect like pokemon! but it’s all pikachu
I feel like this band is manufactured the way things have gone for them. I mean they basically didnt even have an indie era and suddenly they are one of the most popular “new” vk bands. Doesnt make them bad, just saying i feel like they were put together to be a money making machine and it is working.
Naahhh, I don’t think so. You could say the same about Diru, with Yoshiki producing them and their short indie era. There are more potential explanitions like they had connections to the label already or someone really believed in their potential.
Without evidence in one or the other direction it seems unfair to assume the worst.
I wouldnt have considered that a bad thing let alone “the worst” possibility.
I’m not sure but tbh Kizu is the most interesting band from their era bar Nazare (there’s not much competition tho lol)
Lime was in LEZARD before Kizu and active for a decade at that point, and reiki in LOUD GRAPE at the same record company, so it’s not like they came out of nowhere.
