To be fair I’ve always seen Ruka as the type who just does his own thing. If you look at their first budokan appearance he drove himself to the venue separate from the others. Guy probably just likes his own space lol

Did you see the death glare Ruka gave Yomi when he pointed the camera at him ? He was NOT vibing 
I think that incident would’ve been better conflict fuel than just going to an event separately
The Sakito-Ruka tension rumor has more merit based on the fact that they are both the main writers and would probably want to influence the direction of the band. There’s also the fact that Ruka was the first one to brach out into a solo project because he felt there was stuff he couldn’t do with Nightmare.
It clearly has not affected the band stability but I don’t think there was never an issue with this. And if you ask me, I think they kinda met in the middle.

Well I know Yomi and Hitsugi have said that they were planning or heavily considering disbanding around 2005 prior to the first Tenka Daiboso. Partially why when it did happen, it was very emotional. I imagine the peak of their tension would’ve been around that time. I know Sakito around 2015-2016 ish expressed a lot of frustration with himself which could have also affected band dynamics.
Personally I really liked LSN with Twiggy it was a cool endeavor. Suna no Machi is a banger.

Ruka having a shot at more stuff with different performers such as twiggy, hakuei, or jui was a neat idea. When it became a stable lineup they sure had super cool songs that I love (and think a nightmare cover album of songs from spin offs would be preeetty interesting to listen to) but it lost a lot of the excitement the infinite possibilities it originally had.

Yeah Ruka gives me very independent “lone wolf” vibes, and if he wanted to leave the band because of conflict, he’s had so many opportunities to and hasn’t. And just because they’re not besties doesn’t mean they hate each other

He’s had every opportunity. He is the only non-founding member and initially only came as support. Though at this point that slight time gap isn’t at all relevant. But it’s true he’s had every opportunity.
I always found it interesting how little Ruka publicly involves himself like at his birthday concert this year Ruka didn’t even perform for like half the concert. Just had Yomi, Sakito and Tooru from Mucc do acoustic and piano versions of songs.

He probably plays a hard to get character and also values being on his own. It may come across as if there was a bad mood between him and the others but I don’t think the would have lasted as long as they have with one single lineup if that was the case.
And he did Sendai Kamotsu too. If his personality was too different from the others and the others were inclined to do a cringe joke band, that’s the kind of thing you pass on.
They have probably spent more time with the band than living with their families. I don’t think there was never an issue they could not get over.

You are most likely right - there’s an interview he did with Shou of Alice Nine, and I was very tickled at how much he spoke and how they’re so buddy-buddy.
His RBF/lone wolf thing is definitely a persona, and is very much a part of his charm to his fans.

I know that feeling, personally I’m only subbed to Sakito and the main mobile page. Recently they raised the prices of the Date Otoko fanclub too, so, I’m probably not joining at this point yet. If it’s any comfort Hitsu does update his main socials quite a bit regardless! <3
oh man, i was going to join this year but noped out bc of the price increase.
realistically i’m not going to be going to that many main NM shows this year - mainly only 1 or 2 - and they’re going to cut some of the online content as well which is such a bad move.
how is the sakito mobile content? i think i might join that one if jakigan does anything this year. can you see the old posts from before you start paying?

Tbh I’m there mostly for the selfies (this man says he’s bad at selfies but they are so and very cute???) + a report once in a blue moon, like the one they did for his recent Jakigan live, which also included videos. System is very similar to the mobile site so there is some point rationing going on for those, but given that these reports aren’t all the time it’s not so stressful for that.
There’s also song breakdowns (interviews?) and some old stuff like his old doodles or other pics.
Since I can’t go to a live yet or support him that directly that regularly yet, given that it’s about 4 dollars in my currency, I guess I can take it as me buying him a monthly snack. The mobile site is around the same price with more content, but I feel I’m getting enough value with those two combined rather than shelling that much out for Date Otoko…

(one of the mobile fcs I’m in for another band has this stingy system where you can only see the entries from the months you’re subscribed, and anything before that you have to pay extra to see the “archives”… which is why i asked)

Surprised they’re working towards a release with such a crazy tour comming up because they’ll hardly be be able to promote It for like 6 months. Maybe they play some new songs while touring? That would be nice. Now Im even more excited to see them next month
