ラミヤ (Lamiya)

Time for another artist thread. I’m hitting everyone with a band you probably have heard of in passing or maybe you haven’t. Lamiya (ラミヤ) was a four piece v-kei band that formed in 2017 based around the concept of fairytales and storybooks as their concept implies. Each release shares a tale of sorts. I guess but their art is done in a way that a bit unique I feel. They call upon a type of sound that really differentiates themselves from the other bands. Not super well known, another one of those hidden gems that’s out there. Unfortunately their story didn’t last very long since they disbanded in 2020. It’s still a fun little band I like to listen to from time to time. Not much is known about the guitarist and vocalist on their future bands but the other two went to a band called #Rougaikun。If you like feel free to check them out. I’ll post some of my recommendations below.

Band name: Lamiya (ラミヤ)

I love Shiyu’s voice, I hate when vocalists with great voices disappear from the music scene. :smiling_face_with_tear:

Might try to hunt down their releases that aren’t available on streaming services. I have a copy of their mini album Marionette Overture, love it so much. There’s something about Shiyu’s voice combined with the instrumentals that make their music so comfy to listen to. I sincerely hope Shiyu and n are cooking something up and haven’t completely left the music scene. These guys really were one of a kind.
