中島卓偉(Takui Nakajima) new album “JAGUAR” will be released 2024/12/04.
One of my favorites, sadly it seems doesn’t get much attention abroad. He has such a wonderful discography, so many good songs. He is a really talented artists who makes really catchy music, with really good and encouraging lyrics about life.
If you want a super fast introduction to him here are two songs to check out:

It is becoming my own monologue at this point… but he is really one of the hardest working musicians in the industry. He is all on his own and has released 10+ albums at this point, among his really old songs there are so many masterpieces as well.
He has a stable fanbase in Japan but it is really too bad that he doesn’t get any recognition abroad. If you listen to the songs above or his other songs (you can start with the ones that have music videos), you will realize what a talent he is.
So many memorable and catchy songs, often with a deep message. I realize most people on this board are here for other artists but Takui is really worth giving a chance. With such a rich and solid discography, and no one caring (this thread as an example), really makes me wonder what takes for a japanese artist to get attention abroad. But instead of Takui people in here are getting heated over discussing Lynch’s retake album where every single song more or less sounds the same and is suuuuper generic.
I love this guy
