The cause of his hospitalization is related to the arrest and charges against him. Then band decided to kick him out and disband at 06/16

vk mysteries

This is sooo interesting bc there’s no proof that he was actually hospitalized. The announcement just says he told the band/management that he was in the hospital, but now his lawyer has reached out to say that he has been arrested and is facing charges.

Well that escalated fast. :scream:

Edit: tanuki is claiming domestic dispute . Sheesh if that’s true, what’s up with bandomen beating their gfs?

the absolute SHAAAAADE of it all

I always had a hunch that Gaku was a shady guy, just had no proof until now :joy:

Gaku has been released on bail on 12/27 and he has since discussed his charges with the band, and he will also make them public on his own Twitter when his trial ends.

btw his phone has been confiscated by the police, take that as you will

really hope we see the other members shine in other bands, because this band was beside the vocalist voice sounding like the equivalent of someone trying to turn an utauloid out of random middle aged men’s vomitting sounds really great.

They have opened a new twitter account.

They posted a tweet listing out all that has happened since December.

https://x.com/kakusei_New/status/1889288623335596383

A quick summary:

  • In Dec 2024, someone connected to Vo. Gaku notified the other band members that Gaku had been arrested.
  • Since they didn’t know if Gaku would actually be charged with a crime, the management decided to say he was being hospitalized instead.
  • Gaku was then prosecuted and the decision was made to fire him, because 99% of prosecutions in Japan end in conviction and they thought it would be impossible to carry on band activities with a convicted criminal as a member.
  • Then, Gaku was released on bail.
  • On the day of the band’s 12/31 new year’s eve oneman, Gaku came to the dressing room at the livehouse to talk it out.
  • He gave the band members an ultimatum. Either split the outstanding costs equally between the members, or let him rejoin the band.
  • The rest of the members had 2 thoughts.
  • First, they did not want to continue activities with a man with an ongoing criminal case, and
  • Second, when Gaku first joined the band, he had agreed to shoulder all outstanding costs in the event that the band were to disband. That was the condition for his entry into the band.
  • So the other members refused.
  • However, Gaku refused to accept it and started threatening them.
  • While Gaku was being detained, Dr. Rihito had gone to his house to retrieve a baseball catcher’s mitt for an event. (The event was the V-kei Baseball Club, which was founded by Gaku.)
  • Gaku threatened to report Rihito to the police and accuse him of burglary + theft of the item.
  • Since they had a live that day, and Gaku refused to listen to them or leave, the other members had no choice but to agree with his demands to split the costs for the time being.
  • However, contracts made under duress are not legally valid, and the other members have no legal obligation to pay. They have blocked Gaku on all platforms and cut contact with him.
  • Gaku was furious, and he ended up contacting some of the band’s customers (fans and people who have been to their lives) via DM and slandered the other members. (It is mentioned that his “roommate”/the person who reported his arrest to the band took part in these activities as well.)
  • This affected the band’s activities negatively and the band is sorry for all who have been affected.
  • The band has contacted a lawyer and are preparing to sue Gaku, so they welcome people who have received / witnessed his behavior of business interference to come forward and give them screenshots / recordings to help their case.

Holy heck that is a lot
This time I guess it’s “Bandomen be tripping” instead of the usual “Bangyas be tripping”

I hope the other guys get out of this well

Wow, what a ride :open_mouth:

I stumbled a bit about this:

That’s kinda strange. Why would that be a condition for him joining? Did they suspect he would cause outstanding costs? If so, what kind of cost and why? Did they suspect him being part of the band makes disbanding more possible? If so, why would they even let him join? Or has/had he just, for whatever reason, more money than the rest and they wanted to take advantage of him? So many questions

By “outstanding costs” it means the money that their management label invested in the band. Basically the band members are sort of in debt to the management.

The company pays the operating costs (and possibly their small salaries) upfront and they have to work to pay it off. It’s standard practice so that the company isn’t left with nothing if the bands quit.

Hope this makes sense!

Re: the “agreement” that gaku was supposed pay if they disbanded - yeah that sounds weird to me too. Who would agree to that?

Ah, okay, thanks for the explanation. I thought of it more in like additional, unexpected costs.

But yeah, the question is still why they wanted him to pay. Maybe the rest of the band suspected he’s trouble, but were not able to find someone better in a timely manner. And he might be either so eager to join that he did not really think about that condition or was just very sure they would not disband.
