黒崎真音 (Maon Kurosaki) has passed away

anisong singer 黒崎真音 (Maon Kurosaki) has passed away on 2/16 from a chronic illness, her label Art One Entertainment has announced. She had underwent emergency surgery for epidural hematoma after she had collapsed during a livestreamed concert back in 2021. She was just 35 years old.

She was best known for performing the ending themes to Highschool of the Dead, and has also sung themes for A Certain Magical Index II, Dangan Ronpa 3, among many others, and more recently, Reincarnated as a Sword. May she rest in peace.

Genuinely shocked as a huge Toaru Majutsu no Index fan. Always looked forward to her OP/ED songs, not including the songs for all the other series I watched. R.I.P

Also, I’d be remiss not to mention groups ALTIMA and ALICes (Sayaka Kanda herself passed away in 2021 from suicide ;; )
