12012 20th anniversary revival

Following the members statements here, they will keep together but not as a full time job.

Well, I was pretty hyped before seeing that setlist and what they seem to forget after years of hiatus (everything after their 12012 album… there are songs Wataru is 100% able to sing, as they did with their last live and Vicious of Absolution on opening, aka best they ever had) but I personaly don’t except much more.

It sounds like they’ll reunite from time to time for gigs and perhaps record new stuff beside their other projects.

wow this last live dvd seems amazing… wish I could see it in good quality !

I agree with what some of you said, the last releases were amazing. The level of songwriting was high. If they don’t play those songs because Wataru cannot sing them anyore, it’s a bit sad. But at least, he doesn’t lie to himself.

I know this is old but it still makes me think.
a tweet from wataru
"I don’t really like the term “V-kei band,” but the signs that it’s gaining momentum are already showing, even behind the scenes.

The seniors who are still active, the peers who are giving it their all right now, and the juniors pushing forward are creating this new wave.

All the fans, help spread it and set it free!

I want to see this movement rise again at least once before I die."

I remember seeing this tweet when it was posted. I think it’s amazing that he still supports Vkei.

so we’re not imagining things from abroad at least, the scene is not dead yet, and maybe we’ll get a smol VK peak this decade as a little treat…

Definitivly the correct amount of “dramatic” for VK

I don’t think Vk is dead. There was a dip in the early 2000s but because of a lot of hard work by a lot of bands were put in and vkei it’s still active today. 12012 lasted a lot time so it’s understandable why they are playing this very reserved by performing only once a year. Plus not to mention their bassist is in 52 different projects/bands lol.

Side note: I don’t know how I feel about the visual kei idol bands trend yet. But this can be saved for a different topic

They sure tried to distance themselves from it at one point. Thier photo on the Diamond album looks like an ad for The Gap
