B7KLAN J-Rock Fest (Visual Kei festival) in Paris will be held (10 bands, July 11-12)

It is every single one of them. I watched all the interviews lmao. Not even Miyavi brings up how much he’s lived in LA and mind you his kids were born there lmao. He’s literally doing the Yoshiki playbook :sob:

The biggest take away from the talk Kamijo/maya on Youtube was that there definitely is an AC in the venue. Which is needed because as of now, up to 35°C are predicted for that weekend.

The English translator also mentioned food trucks outside of the venue.

The AC had gotten answered on one of the SNS platforms before, I had seen something about it, at least.

I rather wonder about the outside.
IIrc merch sales start at 9.00. Privileges at 11.00 or so and one has to be there at least 30 mins before the start of these. Which basically means some people have to be there early. What about the area, are there any places with shadow at least? No AC outside, yeah, but still. Food trucks are also important, that’s at least something already, for access to water.

Is there any way to pay for a ticket trough PayPal?

okay finally got a way to get the tickets

From B7klan instagram:

This all looks very reassuring. The heatwave looks to be returning and without water and AC there would’ve been so many people fainting or worse.

Also there’s antikku merch from JP now as well.

Yeah shirts come in large size by default, should fit most but I have to say they’re really warm for summer in general so might have to be prepared if you guys are wearing it…but then again I can’t confirm if the various bands are using the same supplier for the shirts

Also please stay hydrated everyone!! Might be good to hydrate beforehand as well.

Imo the oversized fit makes them super nice for summer?

The b7klan merch is by the same manufacturer for sure, the import merch is almost certainly not, not always even be for different shirts of the same band.

Absolutely! I’ll be bringing electrolytes, so if anyone spots me and wants some in their water, just ask!

But yeah, looks like we’re looking at another heatwave, so drink PLENTY of water people

i have the aiji birthday pamphlet, highly recommend! it’s record/LP sized and it looks great as decor

Ooo! Might be just the humidity on my end maybe :face_holding_back_tears::face_holding_back_tears::face_holding_back_tears: I feel like a steamed bun constantly ahahahaa

but there may be ways to adjust it!! And thanks for clarifying on the shirt production too

Might also be my unusual affinity to high temperatures  but I do know a lot of people do wear loose fits in summer for exactly because it’s nicer for the hot weather!

I think it really depends on some factors. If you have a layer of air between your skin and the cloths, that’s usually better to keep heat in. If the material is breathable enough and it sits loose enough there is enough airflow but if the material is thighly woven or plastic, you will probably get hot in loose fits as well.

I thought about wearing my large shirt from Masked festival but the cotton ist pretty thick, so I figured, I’d sweat way to much in that and opted for a tank top and wearing an open shirt, made from super thinly weaven cotton, on top. So skin is proctected from sun but there is maximum air flow and not too much hot air trapped.

Fun fact: in the nordics people wear fishnet as the layer closest to the skin, as it is super effectiv in trapping body heat. It’s recommend for winter hiking. And it did safe lives. Keep stuff like that in mind when preparing your outfits and maybe test them, if you really feel comfortable in them.

Hot take

Honestly they are going out of their way for us to have a good time. It is not mandatory nor to be expected from them.

So big thank you and I hope we fans would have been nicer.

1 week to go!!

Have talked about the Jrock One meet-up again but the outside DJ stage would be a perfect opportunity.

DJ Kaoru and DJ Lunacy have organized a vkei party many times here in Warsaw and I’ve been an avid long-time goer
