Bands with crossover appeal

Ever find a band that’s not visual kei but you think would fit well within the scene? Maybe they look a certain way or sound a certain way. In this topic post any bands you think would be of interest to a fan into the sounds visual kei has to offer.

I put this in the global section to also include non-Japanese bands.

For Fans Of: Dir en grey, lynch., loud-kei in general

This is Japanese metal’s love letter to visual kei if I’ve ever heard one. While this song is very obviously inspired by Dir en grey’s Pink Killer, the other songs on here don’t slouch and aren’t as easy to peg down. I like showing this to people to let them know that visual kei doesn’t have a monopoly on this kind of song writing.

How about London After Midnight?

It’s an american band very well-known in the goth scene. With their overall style I assume they could also appeal to fans of, for example, Buck-Tick.

not a band, but i ALWAYS wished that masami tsuchiya did more collaborations with visual kei adjacent folk. many fans know him overseas because of his work with atsushi sakurai!
