What are some of the best live distributed songs of all time? I’ll start:
I thought for a moment you mean live songs, then realized it’s about live limited releases
Also forgot that Sarigia released a live only mini album before turning into aliexpress cosplay kei
If I listed them all, I’d be here forever. Personal Top 5 (tentative) that I think could be generally appreciated? Most have been re-released in non-limited form.
秋葉原少年団☆電脳ロメオ (Akihabara Shounendan Dennou Romeo) - Refrain
ダウナー (DOWNER) - ステレオスノー (RE:D.) (Stereo Snow (RE:D.)
The RE:D ver. is more uptempo, which I prefer
Purple Stone - sakura.-Demo ver.47-
(the demo ver. is way better with far less theatrics)
-真天地開闢集団-ジグザグ (ZigZag) - 愛シ貴女狂怪性 (Itoshi Anata Kyoukaisei)
xTRiPx - Dream Catcher
**Forgot to mention xTRiPx - cryBaby (the remake of which I’m probably responsible for since I spammed the shit out of their polling webform using proxies)
A couple songs that I don’t think(?) ever got anything but a live-only distribution that I like:
I was so hyped Jin was back. I like mirror, mirror too
ISDEAD were kinda a pet band of mine and had a whole live-only album
For me definitely this is number 1:
But also most of DIMLIM’s live limited stuff is really good
That’s all I can think of atm besides a few already posted
EDIT: also a recent one
Ironically, I can’t find any youtube videos of the live limited singles I want to shout out.

First up is Ijou na Kaidan by Dezert.
It’s one of their best ballads. Exceedingly catchy, just the right amount of laid back and rockiness, heartfelt vocals, it’s got it all. I don’t know if this ever got released outside the initial live distribution yet, but they should if they haven’t.

Hidden baby by Gullet is a killer one two punch.
Jihaku is weird and creepy. Cult is agressive and psychedelic. I prefer this version to the one on their desert single as it’s got a bit more energy and I like the way the reworked some of the parts.
The release itself is also rad because it has one of those see-through CDs. Although, it might be the reason I can’t seem to rip the CD. It’s the only CD I have problems with in my collection.
I recently obtained their complete physical discography. The disks do have some extraction errors. But I liked the design and the way they created this record. But it’s very sensitive, so I recommend keeping it in a dry place without light or humidity.
That’s good to know. When I acquired this back in like 2017, I actually asked the shop where I bought it for an exchange because of this issue. The second copy still had the same issue. I thought it could be just me so I’m glad you confirmed it’s a widespread issue.
Jackman’s “Mouka” - such a beautiful song!
