So basically an extended 17 with some re-done songs, some same versions, and then 3 new tracks (one of which is a cover). Nice~

What! I literally just got my copy like a week ago 
I will say though, that this album is excellent and totally surprised me. 15/16 were good, but this album is great.

I’ll get it for sure but I’m pissed. I did not like 17 as much as I hoped to maybe the extra work on this turns me around but now I’m going to be extra cautious with them from now on…
It’s going to be on streaming, you don’t have to physically buy it if you don’t want to

I can’t hear the difference in the ‘remastered’ songs; is it just me? Disappointed that they didn’t remaster “沈む夕陽は誰かを照らす” cos that’s a favourite of mine so I don’t mind 2 versions of it. And now there’s 3 versions of “月に吼えるまでもなく”!
I know, but I like having the most music complete possible versions of their albums. It’s more a collector issue I guess?
That’s fair, but also this is the worst band to be into as a collector lol - the amount of money I’ve sunk into getting releases from them is frankly disgusting. I’m used to an excessive release schedule from them. This is the first time they’ve done this specifically - but this deluxe edition trend is prevalent in a lot of the Western music I listen to, so it feels familiar.

Yeah, and I’m that of an ambitious collector since I don’t even think abou the rarez that get insane mark ups on the second hand market. I just want to have a nice assorment of their albums with the most possible music in them.

Are the two songs on the two CD singles the same two new songs that are included in “17.5” above?
Nope.
The live singles appear to be reworked versions of Baka Baka Baka Baka and the closing track - the latter is labeled as the “AOR” version, which I assume is referring to the Adult-Oriented Rock genre.

The band will be releasing their カリ≠ガリ結成三〇周年記念公演「青春の抜け殻」concert on blu-ray and DVD at the venue of their tour final on 7th Sep.
If you buy both the DVD & Blu-ray (why would anyone do that…), you will receive a special disc jacket.
If you spend more than 12000 yen at the venue (that means other merch), you will get a special DVD that consists of 6 songs from their 2023.10.30 gig (that includes the 1st appearance of “晴天仕掛けのルサンチマン” on film!!!) and the both gigs on 2023.11.30 (that includes the 2nd appearance of “晴天仕掛けのルサンチマン” on film!!! I just love that song, don’t mind me). Also includes the slip that, together with other slips from the earlier blu-ray/DVD releases, can be exchanged for some secret video down the line.
Oh, and if you buy both 17 & 17.5 at the concert venue, you will get 1 of 4 different sleeves:

This is so confusing. My spouse asked me to go to the tour final to get the special DVD, and I don’t even know what to buy yet.
Side note, the C sleeve looks amazing.
None of these covers is as good as the regular one for 17.5
