*I tried clicking on the con’s site itself, but my Internet provider thinks it’s sus so I’m not taking the risk.

Link works for me but it’s all in German so I don’t understand it.

So they speak German in Switzerland? That’s news to me. I’m really confused.

Not sus for mine.
All the links on that website currently go of to #
… Yeah nothing

@tama-chan is part if the con-staff, if I saw that right

Part of Switzerland speaks German, another one Italien and if I remember right there is a french speaking area too.

Jep, we even say DACH Region ( D=Germany, A=Austria, CH= Switzerland) to refer to german speaking countries
But swiss german dialect is pretty hard to understand for people from Germany. We relyn on them speaking standard german to us

Back to the topic. They are not in my top ten but I love seeing more bands coming to europe. All power to them.

your browser doesn’t have an auto translate feature?

I should but it’s probably off.

The site looks unprofessional as it is not finished yet :grimacing:

Looked into it a bit, seems to be the first year for this con. Browsers will think it’s sus because they didn’t even pay for a SSL certificate so its http instead of https but at least their ticket vending site which is on another domain has https thankfully.

Looking on Reddit it seems the venue is in a tiny village with less than 5000 inhabitants. The tickets are dirt cheap so there is virtually no way the band isn’t paying completely out of pocket to go there. I bet the cost of going to the con will be more than the total proceeds the con makes when all is said and done.

Seems like a huge waste of money. Wanting to go abroad is awesome but you gonna create the right opportunity for it to make sense IMHO.

I mean could also be that someone in the organizing body is paying for the show out of their own pocket, and the band crashes on the couch etc.

It’s nice that we’re getting these small livehouse tier bands, but I’d take any other country in Europe over Switzerland except for Norway. Too expensive for anyone to bother traveling to unless it’s their favorite band.

Possible, but just the flights for the band with no staff would set that person back 5-6 grand to Zurich and that village is pretty far from there so add train tickets etc. Then there is instrument rentals cause I’m sure nobody is sponsoring an Entertainment visa for them so they can’t show up at Swiss customs with a bunch of instruments unless they want a really unfortunate welcome experience.

But yeah the actual trend of bands going abroad is great. I just think that if done poorly it’ll be such a financial loss for them that they might never go again which is counterproductive.

Just bought tickets to the con with a few friends of mine. We will travel 8 hours from Germany. It’s nearly sold out so grab a ticket if you thought about it.
DazzlingBad are playing on both days, so 30€ really is a bargain price.
So looking forward to see them live!

My first thought was: Oh, does the lady behind VK Beats fancy now someone from this band?
So I checked the VK Beats site, and yes, they are indeed the organisers
