To be fair…. I saw Deathgaze in 2013 and even then Ai sounded pretty rough live.
Seems like a fun setlist though!

I mean i guess this is true a bit cut and paste. I really liked “THE UNDERWORLD” release i feel like they could have done some sort of album or mini album expanding more on that style. I feel like the band is missing in terms of vocal diversity and synth usage a bit. The underworld release had a little bit of variation in both not a whole lot but enough to make me feel like they could have done more with it. Overall, the band prob stopped making money after a certain point plus 11 years is a good run especially after going threw 2 vocalists before AI stepped up lol. I cant imagine how stressful that must have been.

THE UNDERWORLD was a great release! And coming back to it again, I actually think ENIGMA as a whole was really good. It was the robot screams that pissed me off, but there’s a lot of bangers on this album. Vocal range has never been Ai’s strong suit, but I admired his passion to keep the band going (and ultimately, through DARRELL as well). As you’ve said though, being in a band is part business too, passion isn’t always enough.

Yeah the vocals are what really killed ENIGMA for me. It was very lazy, considering the singled didnt had the robot screams and sounded very out of place

On another note, what guitar is Ai playing during Evoke the world? It looks like an 8 string but it doesn’t seem anywhere near as big as a traditional 8-string guitar, which makes me think it’s 4 strings, but doubled up. Anyone got any ideas?
After careful inspection, I come to the conclusion that it’s actually most likely a EC-1008
The guitar from the video also has the Evertune bridge which the 258 doesn’t have
