I’m grateful I wasn’t there to witness yami ni furu kiseki (I’m selfish!)

What a setlist tho! All heavy hitters and old songs too! I just love how excited the members were to be back too! :sob:

Definitely! It was so cute to see them smiling like that.

Also, it’s kinda low-key blowing my mind I could witness this via a live stream. My 16 year old self wished for something like that for so many times back then.

The fact that Hizumi never gave up on singing is so inspiring. :sob: 15 years later and we get a new single, a oneman (live streamed no less!), and overseas appearances is so dang emotional.

I’m definitely going to replay the live later today. Full disclosure I was so dang groggy watching it haha

I find it hard to describe - a good mix? There’s some screams, a more melodic chorus, some electronic elements… Definitely D’espa-vibes, haha

Edit: I’m re-watching it right now, the beginning has an interesting whispering bit, it sounds like “I’m gonna scream again” to me? If I had to put it on an existing album, I’d probably choose Mirror.

The snippet they posted on instagram is at the end of the song.

I KNOW right?? And such good quality, too. Back then, I’d be amazed if I could even get my hands on a concert DVD, but now we have the immense pleasure of witnessing a live LIVE.

So grateful these guys opened up the gates to the online audience. What a show.

It was really good, but my first impression is that it sounded like 2 different songs and didn’t flow together super well. But both of those parts were amazing. The chorus sounded like one of the better songs on REDEEMER and the heavy parts sounded like their older work from coll:set imho. Can’t wait to hear the single version and wrap my head around it. Definitely my highlight of the show though, hearing new material.

What an incredible show. I can’t believe I got to hear them play Paradox 5 of all songs.

My wife and I had an amazing time. I think that’s in my top 5 concerts of all time. Just hearing soo many songs that I’ve been listening to for half my life.

Rapture was great. They said that they wanted to make louder music, and this one definitely is heavier. But I think it has elements of every great D’espairsray song. Electronic elements, good screams, a chorus with a good hook.

Looking forward to hearing it. A little bummed that it’s released right after I fly back home.

Hizumi said once that’s a very special song for him, so we can really expect it to keep appearing in lives.

Btw, how is Hizumi current self singing Garnet?

Honestly sounded like a song that would be on Redeemer imo! I quite enjoyed it but honestly I’m super biased. They could’ve released a crappy song and I would’ve ate it up atp lol
