Exactly what I thought
I don’t know their earlier songs, but i see people saying they referred to earlier songs in that one.
I actually kind off enjoyed that song.
Just… Will they get out of the kitchen again??
I can’t believe they shot two music videos in the same kitchen from the same angle. LOL!
I think I like this song Libido better than Peer Pressure. A bit weird here and there, but I like weird. It feels more structured. Could use less chugging and more intentional phrasing of musical ideas, and maybe a bit of singing too.
Last minute sounds very similar to Ruin, but not exactly like Ruin. I compared the two back to back. Honestly, they should have started where they ended, maybe changed that riff a little more, and kept that going. The last minute was the best part honestly. Everything was finally feeling like it was coming together.
Really love the last minute, a bit less the whole thing, due to the weird structure changes. Sounds like 3 songs in one. A weirder one than Peer Pressure, but it fits the Deviloof approach.
A bit disjointed, but I’m definitely liking this one more than the other PV track.
I liked this one better. (there’s a woman reaching her climax in the background and that was… a choice)
PS we’re this close to have a new n°1 overused setup in PVs & photoshoots, the church and the red steampunk backdrop are trembling
Not as boring as the previous track and that’s always something
They really gotta figure to move from one place to another for a pv next time though
I preffered the Peer Pressure track a lot.
Because while it was from the vocals less interesting, it was in general much harder.
This unnescesary Trap/Hip-Hop part ruins this whole track for me.
I can’t believe they shot two music videos in the same kitchen from the same angle. LOL!
I was like at least they switched up the lighting
Pretty sick but deathcore is like my ultimate cup of tea.
I paused 3 times around 1:10 because I thought my elderly dog was barking in the other room.
REVIEWED
Dude this shit has me even more excited to hear this album.
That was a very disjointed song.
I actually really dig the track. Unpredictable and they keep coming back with something different and awesome instead of repeating the same 2/3 parts or whatever. I’m here for it 100%.
Disjointed is kind of “the thing” in -core music right now. Bands like PALEDUSK, Crystal Lake, and dexcore’s most recent single sound like a ton of songs mashed together. Even JILUKA’s latest is a bit disjointed. So I’m not surprised, but like this one more than Peer Pressure. It’s still a really bunk PV, though.
Confusing but I fuck with it more than Peer Pressure. I also don’t understand this trend of putting together songs with totally different-sounding parts without any kind of discernible connection. Like, do they think they’re writing operas? Are they composing separate movements?? Is this some weird artistic wankery that I don’t understand?
I loved everything after that random drugged-out trappy bit in the middle, that was a sick transition.
I seriously have no clue what y’all are talking about everything seems to flow pretty fluidly to me.
Definitely preferred Libido to Peer Pressure(which I like more now than I did on my first listen). Honestly wasn’t expecting the pornogrind influence but it makes sense with the name of the song. This song fits a lot more with what I was expecting from this album with the electronic elements similar to newspeak.
Personally I never understand what people mean by disjointed but I often see it used to describe things I like so I don’t even view it as negative even if that was the intention of the person saying it.
out of curiousity, what do y’all think of llll-Ligro-'s INVICTA? is it disjointed?
that’s not meant to be a gotcha question - i just remember this track making zero sense to me, sounding confused and aimless when it came out, but a few listens later it ended up being my fav song of the year
i’m holding out hope for this album of Deviloof’s to develop similarly but who knows
