Recently the band announced tour in Latin America for 2024 , they will be in Chile, Brazil and Mexico.
They were rumors of several months ago until it came to light, after the twits of flags that will visit . Hopefully more countries will join the tour.
That’s awesome I’m glad to see they are touring internationally.
Altho, If you can make a stop to the US your not that far even if you can get to California that’s fine
I swear they need to come to Germany.
But that’s a really nice sign that a world tour hopefully Takes place in the future. Happy for them
we’re finally getting something nice
cum to braziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiillllllll
After all these years, Chile keeps being the benchmark when it comes to visual kei concerts. Personally, I had never payed attention to DEVILOOF before, that being said I would love to see them live.
Never heard a single song, but finally bands coming over here again.
Definetly going!
They have made a review of the Deviloof concert in Mexico.
I always wondered why some jrock/vk bands seem to be so popular in South America? Like more than in the states, EU countries etc. I know I am generalizing now but I don’t think I’m alone to have this impression, and they are in fact very popular there. How come SA became such a big market for japanese rock?
I read SA as saudi Arabia and got seriously confused
Vkei became international hit in the 2000s and because since then there hasn’t been much positive progress in western music, they are less likely to discard older thing when they see the new one is worse.
Things are moving much slower on the periphery region than in the center. This also explains why Russia and Eastern Europe is the last remaining bastion of 2000s western hard rock, even Three Days Grace’s previous singer Adam Gontier did not one solo tour there just a few years ago.
An Cafe in Brazil had like 3.000 people in one of the hugest live houses of Sao Paulo (the biggest city in Latin America). That’s an oneman concert.
VK was really a thing here.
Plus, excluding Japan, Brazil is the country with more japanese people in the world. Japanese culture has a strong influence here, so I think it explains a lot.
We are huge weebs
I thought France was the weeb country.
Isnt kpop also huuuuge in many South American countries?
This was the M&G in Mexico
this was the M&G of Peru
Why wasnt aisaku in peru?
I just now noticed that all those fan vids of Peru didn’t have him in it. He also hasted posted since the 15th of May. I wonder what fan theory Tanuki has
Tanuki doesn’t care about overseas performances and usually makes fun of them but it’s weird there was no announcement that he wouldn’t be there even if it was last minute.
He posted a story in Chile today so he’s fine.
Aisaku stayed in the Dominican Republic because of a problem with his visa.
that’s why he didn’t show up in Peru, he was in Chile yesterday and it was amazing!
