To-ru turned 20 yesterday which means he was 14 when he joined DEXCORE. ![]()
some of them start young i guess
i think Gaku was 15 when he started with nocturnal bloodlust (and hiroki from c-gate also started with 15 i think)
PV at the end of the countdown hopefully.
Performed in the dark, how appropriate.
Don’t be afraid, it’s just to show off how good that DVD will be and how the progress is. I guess it’s not taking too long anymore until they reveal the release date.
Till than, just enjoy the little insight and celebrate their 6 annyversary with them. ^^
I am kinda disappointed in both songs, especially given Kagami’s covers that show that he can control his breath.
In both videos he is out of breath when it comes to screaming and growling parts. That’s why he is scream-talking (to hide this fact and show he’s emotional I suppose)
To better understand what I am referring to watch the last live of AvelCain, it is exactly the same situation
Doing covers in a bedroom (which he doesn’t record in one take) and playing 1 at 2 hours live isn’t exactly the same thing… you don’t even imagine what it takes to sing, scream, jump around, entertain ppl, without taking a break between tracks except for MCs or guitar retune.
Not bad for track 12 deep into the set list. You can definitely see he was both anxious, excited and happy at the same time (confirmed by the commentary he had after the show on his SNS.)
To his defense DON’T BE AFRAID was straight after SELF HATRED which is really hard to sing. Almost no pauses to breath in that song and all the emotions of it being performed with a guest i don’t blame him for the lack of pacing himself during the set.
I am not a singer, ofc, but Kagami isn’t doing something impossible. There are plenty of singers who pull off 1-1.5 hours of concerts with plenty of screaming, growling, etc.
So I am pointing out that in this particular case Kagami is failing and is not up for the song quality that he wrote himself. Which doesn’t do the song any good since half of the verses are mumbled/spoken
To be fair live is almost always different than recorded. Let’s not forget

I’d add that DON’T BE AFRAID seems to be that crowd song, where he voluntary leaves blank moments for ppl to sing with (or instead of) him. That’s the way the song is written and meant to be played I guess. Listen to the amount of vocal layers, you can hardly tell when he is singing or when it’s the track behind 'em without watching the live take.
It has become a lot more common for bands in the metalcore scene to let the programmed track(s) doing 1/3 of the vocal work. I’ll let you rate the process ![]()
It’s not about the live being different. For me there’s no questions about the instrumental part and clean vocals — it’s really good, the guys are killing even with all these layers backing them up.
It’s just the fact that for whatever reasons Kagami is out of breath and he cannot do the scream/growl parts during this particular live.
Like mentioned before it could be any number of factors why a singer isn’t up to scratch on a given day. He could have had a cold even ![]()
I totally agree with this ![]()
Once again, I am simply stating that unfortunately this particular live is not enjoyable for me due to this ![]()
On [METEMPSYCHOSIS.] -EXTRA- there was a music video for an unreleased song 造花 [2020] that was supposed to be released to the public after a year(?), but there is nothing about it.
DEXCORE to release the MV for a new song on 17.02 right before DEX FEST - 2023 -
Snippets can be heard in Kagami’s insta-story
Hype

They made us wait long enough for that. XD
It was so obvious they shot a new PV and that they would release it right before their festival. Especially after Kagami aked if we’re ready for a new song last week. Hell, yes, we are!
