After 2 Years and 10 months DEZERT finally release their Self-Titled 7th Full Lenght Album (2nd Major)β¦
I really liked the whole album .
9 Heavy Songs
2 Ballads
2 Acoustic
7 Rock Songs.
At least, they or their producer understand that they need heavy songs to avoid alienating their audience from the very beginning of their journey. Thatβs a good, business-savvy decision, even if Dezert themselves donβt really want to write heavy stuff (we never know).

I actually made a playlist out of these heavy songs from this album, and it is like an actually good Dezert album now.

Which are the heavy songs

Keep in mind that βheavyβ Dezert songs are essentially pop-punk (especially in choruses) fused with nu-metal
altogether, it makes a nice 8song album, so I will take it
I support their decision to go poppy (boys gotta eat), but I am glad they still put out something interesting and heavy close to their roots from time to time

I listened 3 times and i can say i really liked and loved the decision to put a double album in celebration for their 15th Anniversary!
Of course as fan since 2018 iβm familiar with their two side, Heavy Nu-Metal/Alt Metal/Pop-Punk and their Alternative Rock/Pop-Rock sound, at the end of the day this is their Self-titled and DEZERT is exactly those two side fused.
The song i most loved was the last one, Ikite yukou ne because right now iβm suffering depression as fuck and that one make me feel i want to keep living even if i need to suffer.
The only mess up if i had to say is i could probabbly put 16 Songs instead of 20 haha but itβs okay.
