I LOVED these covers
not a big fan of the cover… i wish it was either just the photo or just the drawings, having them both on it is too much.
what really bothers me though is the typography, it looks really amateurish. the cover would be much better without it. either should have nothing on it or just the logo thingie that’s at the top which does look pretty cool. just make it a bit bigger and move it a bit more down.
the one that the typography looks the best in is the limited edition cover where the text actually looks like there was some thought put into it. with how the “Mortal Downer” is on the black part, and how the logo and band’s name is on the space between the figure and the top of the picture it looks a lot less jarring. in the other two covers there’s just way too much space. though like i said, it still would look better without the text.
the more i look at it the more sad i get that it’s not just the drawings on a white/black background lol

Yes, I’m glad someone else noticed that. As a designer, the mismatched typography stuck out to me immediately. It has this playful, vintage, western flair that’s at odds with the mysterious occult tone the artwork is giving off.
