Only 11 songs, huh. Either we’re getting longbois, or Diru decided to go Gazette route and slack off.
I hate mazohyst, so that’s a half of CD2 I don’t care about, lol.
And full Sogai, huh. That’s juicy. Followers is finally getting a live version, noice. Song translators on youtube will have something to do at least.
… but it’s weird there’s no Scenes of Recording footage.
Still haven’t pre-ordered, but this didn’t particularly sway me in any of the three directions. Guess I’ll decide when they reveal packaging for each edition, hopefully soon lol
Interesting song titles. I’m always in for some German (Schadenfreude means the joy in anyone else’s suffering). I assume there will be two long songs and Eddie will be a total clusterfuck
Wow and we finally get a recording of the mazohyst of decadence remake as they play an updated version for like 15 years?
I’m really looking forward to the album - already ordered tge deluxe edition
Gein’s story has had a lasting effect on American popular culture as evident by its numerous appearances in film, music and literature. The tale first came to widespread public attention in the fictionalized version presented by Robert Bloch in his 1959 suspense novel, Psycho. In addition to Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 film of Bloch’s novel, Psycho, Gein’s story was loosely adapted into numerous films, including Deranged (1974), In the Light of the Moon (2000) (released in the United States and Australia as Ed Gein (2001)), Ed Gein: The Butcher of Plainfield (2007), “Ed Gein, the Musical” (2010), and the Rob Zombie films House of 1000 Corpses and its sequel, The Devil’s Rejects. Gein served as the inspiration for myriad fictional serial killers, most notably Norman Bates (Psycho), Leatherface (The Texas Chain Saw Massacre), Buffalo Bill (The Silence of the Lambs) and the character Dr. Oliver Thredson in the TV series American Horror Story: Asylum.
Actually pretty happy with the extra contents, that Mazohyst re-recording has been waiting to happen for damned ages! Think it was the Rinkaku live DVD where they played a newer sounding version and is actually really cool so if it’s basically a recorded version of that I’m all into it. Aint afraid to die will be cool to hear what theyve done with that and the live part is actually a pretty decent setlist for my tastes so look forward to that too.
Great to see a shorter tracklist this time, actually. I was sort of hoping we would get a lighter album with fewer throwaway tracks.
Remake choices look good too. If they’re gonna cut mazohyst short like they have live, I’ll be a little disappointed. The only way they might goof up ain’t afraid to die is if it’s a half-hearted self-cover like The Final.
Well, I didn’t expect them to put the whole Sogai on disc 3, wow :o But since I have it already, I don’t really care about it. The quality upgrade will be nice though.
Not me completely forgetting that it’s a video lmao, yeah that’s nice to have still xD
I’m most hyped for the mazohyst~ re-recording(?). But why does disc 2 only have two songs lol, that’s disappointing.
Mazohyst remake is probably gonna be 15 minutes long lmao I bet that’s why there’s only two remakes. I would be very surprised if they actually changed anything about Ain’t Afraid to Die though.
