LOL I didn’t see any but I was up front so my eyes were glued to the band
Setlist is a bit disappointed for a mode of Vulgar setlist tbh
UROKO was played.
God forbid if it’s my last day, I’m going out with a smile. I love that song and it was not on my bingo card for that set.
So live update. They played a little bit of everything from vulgar, Arche, Phalaris and even Uroboros. I was enjoying the moment so I didn’t note down the setlist down, but some of Japanese fans did. And yes, not a lot of vulgar songs. The crowd was intense.
Oh yeah. They did Child Prey! They played the original Obscure - I couldn’t note any chord changes and they had the MV playing in the background.
Did they really play the original Obscure? What about the original Kasumi - did Kyo stop doing his Kyopera parts?
There’s hope that in the near future they will try rotating both originals and remakes of their songs (a good example would be Karma, and I belong to the minority that enjoys the original version vs. the 2013 one).
Drain away and Audience Killer Loop I would have been happy just to hear these two live… Did Kyo do a nice lil scream for killer loop?
You know, I was insanely jealous to see you guys got a VULGAR show, but after seeing they only played 6/15 songs from the album the show is supposed to be about, I’m not jealous anymore (and honestly, I feel a bit bad for you). Maybe part 2 at Anaheim will be different?
Still, that’s a pretty cool set list. Magayasou and VINUSHKA are awesome.
I didn’t record but it sounded to me like the original one. For Kasumi I think it was the one from unraveling in terms of sound.
Yes, he did all the screams and fake choked himself with the red mic cord.
I’ve seen Vinushka in Japan when they did budokan back in 2014 and in LA in 2011. It’s a nice breather song that goes heavy, but the song was peak in 2014 for me.
The OG version of Kasumi was played.
And “new” obscure was played.
Just for some clarification.
Also a call back to an earlier conversation about Gear on US tours:
Die actually played his acoustic instead of playing a “clean” tone during Vinushka.
OG Kasumi instruments with Unraveling vocals. @seelentau maybe it’s smth you can add to your wiki/setlist fm?
well
fan tweet: graphic design is my passion
hoodie $80 ?
lmao you’re such a catty bitch, I love it.
tbh, watching the videos from last night something feels off. For shows that were booked and promoted as being special, that stage and their performances seem rather bland.
But yes, I know, jet lag etc etc etc etc etc.
Yes. I could feel their exhaustion. Like they were all trying to give good energy, but it wasn’t like before. Maybe it’s the jet lag? The time change is not easy. Plus I don’t think they placed at Belasco before so it was a new stage technically.
I’m not sure what it is but Kyo felt like a thousand miles away, but I think that might be normal? Lol I haven’t seen them since like 2019 so my memory is rough. They did sound better from the pit - or my ears gave out immediately. He didn’t have a proper solo to do screams. I oddly miss the screams.
I wasnt planning on attending but theres tickets for under $12 on StubHub
I secured mine for $6 + fees. So $10 to see Dir En Grey

This is for the Anaheim show btw.
this is at house of blues right? i am insanely jealous, i love that venue!
Correct ! House of Blues in Anaheim
