Gracefully and cautiously hoping this means more overseas plans…

overseas would be a silly place to start album production - but maybe they’ll find a real producer on another continent!!

Ngl if they came to Rockville, Maryland to record at Omega Studios for any reasons…

Oh boy… The phone calls I’d be making to attend those sessions…

I read this as they want to put full strenght into a new album.

Maybe new album production is a funny way to say extended vacation

America seems like it may soon be a pretty shit place to stay for anyone who’s not white, male, and already in the 1%.

As long as they get out before martial law and ‘detention’ camps come into effect against foreigners, they should be fine…

On the plus side, this definitely means they’re working with a new producer! Yay!

I don’t think it means much more than “atm we have not planned the next japan tour so there won’t be a chance to come to a live for a while, apart from the us gigs, so come see this tour!”

I wouldn’t read too much into it. Why would he tease more oversea concerts in such a random post?
They have been touring a lot this year. So maybe they just need break

Well, he said “in Japan”. Why the need to mention the country if you want to be general ?

I mean, they already have 3 US shows scheduled

Chimneys are the most overlooked aspect of Dir en Grey’s aesthetic. If you think their music is dark and intense, you should consider how the symbolism of smoke and chimneys in their videos represents the suffocating nature of society. Anyone who dismisses this connection clearly doesn’t understand the depth of their artistry!

Because “these are the last concerts in a while” would be incorrect since the us concerts are already scheduled. Most japanese fans won’t go to the states to see those. So he tells them this is the last change to see them at home.

The use of chimneys might be overshadowed by the band’s exploration of more pressing themes like existential angst, societal critique, and emotional turmoil. In this light, the presence of chimneys could be seen as a mere backdrop rather than a focal point of aesthetic significance.

Furthermore, the aesthetic value of any imagery, including chimneys, can vary widely across different cultural contexts - what might resonate in one culture could be irrelevant or misunderstood in another, suggesting that chimneys lack universal significance within the band’s aesthetic framework.

I dunno…aesthetics are inherently subjective; what one person finds beautiful, another may see as an eyesore. I’m not sure there is inherent aesthetic significance.

Knowing how Kyo like to crawl out of stuff - it’s only a time when we gonna get Xmas themed PV with Kyo Claus crawling out of the chimney of despair to gift us his spilled guts.
